This video def helps with the comb selection. I'm in school now and almost done and they never discuss combs. Something I had to figure out myself. Thank you again for great tips !

just wanted to say that because of this tip I now do not use the texturizing shears for "blending". I challenged myself do not do that and now I have taken my skills to another level and will be taking them even higher for ever and ever. Thanks again:)

Great video... I am a fully trained hairdresser working in a salon but am also training to teach hairdressing so am looking for inspiration and wisdom to pass on to the students. I'll definitely be pointing them in this direction.

I have that wide toothed red comb :) got it from the sassoon academy. They're the hongo beuy pro range, they're awesome. I have way too many combs, yet I manage to use them all!

Your red comb looks a lot like the Paul Mitchell 416. It's my favorite cutting come, and a plus is its heat resistant.

I am in school now so I am not a professional but I thought the term was shears in place of scissors my teachers would have a conniption if I called it scissors. Am I incorrect? Are my teachers teaching me incorrectly?

i work at supercuts and every aspect of their cutting is against everything you say and i hate it.....they make you use their huge bulky comb which keeps blocking my guide....and they tailor their steps that you must follow to suit new or unskilled stylists. i cant wait to get out. also the way they make you stand and cut has stylists with bad backs and carpal tunnel in 2 years.
