Step 1: The Arms and Legs Right-handed version
Make your own Dancing Toothless Meme character.
This tutorial only uses basic crochet stitches.
The stitches used are Single Crochet (sc), Half double crochet (hdc), slip stitch (sl st), Magic Ring (MR).
We will also use the following techniques: Increase (inc), Decrease (dec) and Invisible end.
Give it a try. It's so much fun to make your own crochet amigurumi toys and the Dancing Toothless meme is JUST. SO. CUTE!

How to crochet a Magic Ring that won't come undone:

You will need 1 full ball of size 2 (Fine/5 ply) yarn, a 3.5 mm crochet hook, 2 x 10 mm safety eyes (or substitute), a needle, scissors and some form of stuffing, e.g. fibrefill or hobby fill (I use stuffing from a regular pillow).

How much yarn did you need for the fluffy one? I much prefer crocheting with fluffy yarn so I’m wondering if one skein is enough or if I’ll end up running short

I used a little over 1 skein of imperial velvet yarn, 3 ply, 100 grams. I also crochet quite tight, so if you crochet more loosely you may need a little more. 🥰

Hi English isn't my first language, is your yarn made out of cotton or something else?

It’s 100% cotton, but you can make it out of whatever you like. I like to work with cotton the best. If you check out my short videos, I made a giant plushy toothless using the same pattern and plushy yarn.

can i use fluffy yarn or is it better to use the same yarn that you use?and also how big is the safety eyes?

Yes, you can use fluffy yarn, but usually it will make a much larger amigurumi. The safety eyes I used were 10mm diameter. I just bought some white chenille yarn to experiment with making a big fluffy one too 🤩 Let me know how yours turns out 🥰

@@cha5407 hi 👋 I tried out the pattern in fluffy yarn today. You can see a picture of it in my Etsy listing for the pattern. It was a little difficult to make, but it looks cool. I used chenille yarn and a 4.5 mm hook with the same pattern. I had to make a magic ring in blue for the eyes because I didn’t have coloured ones in such a big size… (MR: 12 sc) There’s a picture of the white and black ones side by side so you can see the size difference. Do you mean for their children or just a smaller size? If you want a smaller size, just use lighter yarn and a corresponding smaller size hook. I haven’t made the babies yet, but for a meme style, just make my pattern with fewer rounds for the body and change to their colouring for the different coloured bumps. Changing colours on the body can be a bit more difficult though. I’ll try to figure it out…

How many centimeters are tall?

It’s 15 cm if you use the same yarn and I did. You can change the size by using different yarn and corresponding hook. (As a general rule, use a hook 1 or 2 sizes smaller than the one recommended on the package.) Last week I made a giant plushy one using jumbo yarn and a 10mm hook, it’s 45 cm tall. You can see it on one of my shorts videos.
