Wow, what an education you've provided here !!! I'm a 58 year old lifetime shade tree mechanic.. I'd rather pull an engine, than take on, a seat reupholster job..!! Because that's my comfort zone.. Though you, really did get a good outcome on that back seat.. I know it's not perfect by your own standards, I have seen much less desirable results in many cars.. And I think that can be a turn off, for many mechanics, because there is definitely a more arts and crafts skill needed for this work.. It is a trade in itself, though you did very well here Keep at it, you might even inspire me, to order a kit, and pick a pair of hog ring pliers yet !!!! God bless... Keep at it...

Nice work. For our build, we just took our the cotton batting out of the old seats and replaced with new cotton batting.

Again great tips and tricks on getting the job done. Might I suggest putting a url in for the "hog ring". The one you have and maybe one you would have like to have gotten?

You can get hog rings from either CJ Pony Parts or even some place locally like Tractor Supply. I’m pretty sure the ones in this video were from CJ, but I’ll need to double check.

Thank you! Not bad for a first try but it can definitely be set a little more even. Thankfully, super comfy.

A heat gun is helpful too........more so when you do this in cold weather!!

Definitely! I can only imagine how much harder this is during the winter. The higher temps help the vinyl be a little more pliable.

Please shoot horizontally. Vertical shooting is for TikTok. Your channel is not going to get any traction with this style of shooting videos. I like your content, but vertical shooting is annoying.

Thanks. I’m pretty sure I explained in previous videos that when I documented this project, I had no intentions of starting a KZbin channel. I have started to document the process horizontally, however, I still have a backlog of content that I haven’t uploaded yet that was captured vertically from two years ago. Unfortunately there’s no perfect way to convert the content to horizontal so you’ll just have to bear with me until I get to the present :)

Too much work! Just get a new seat from CJ Pony and be done with it.

If that’s the look you are after then go for it! Originality is key to me for certain things.

@@marissasimos Anyone can buy replacements. It`s the feeling you get when you can say ``I did it all by myself``
