As a huge step class fan and former Fitness Director for Fortune 500 companies, I am very particular when it comes to finding great step instructors. This is obvious because there are very few 45 min-1hr step class you tube videos available. I have found some instructors who have no rhythm, can't queue very well and boring routines that don't challenge the viewer. Ashli is GREAT. I am very impressed that she queues perfectly, allows the perfect amount of time to practice the step and then beautifully balances the class with easier steps to follow the more creative steps, giving the viewer time to recoup and step back into the routine in case they did not get the creative steps. EXCELLENT job. I am most assuredly marking her as a favorite and would love to see more of her classes.

I so miss step in a group. It will always be my favorite! This class is what I love: the challenge in choreography and triumph of finally getting it. Great class, Ashli.

I used to do step aerobics a lot 20 years ago when I lived in Nashville, TN. Now I live in NYC and I love to run for cardio but it is too cold outside to run. So I started doing step aerobics again in my apartment and the classes on youtube by this instructor are fantastic. THANK YOU! They are advanced, lots of fun, and she does a great job! -Jacob

Excellent step class. You are a human spring! I am using this class during our COVID gym closure. I'm 62 and can keep up for most of it but some of the more complicated fast moves I just improvise to keep going for now until I can catch the rhythm of the steps. Thank you for helping me stay in shape Ashli!

This is fantastic! I have to come to KZbin for good step aerobics classes now that all my gyms are turning to boring remedial Les Mills. AAGGHH! May Freestyle Step Aerobics Thrive Forever!!

this class is clearly for advanced steppers. It only takes a couple of times before you get familiar with her moves and it's a really fun, fast paced step workout. Personally, I love it.

Ashli's step videos are just excellent. I've looked EVERYWHERE and can't find any I like better. PLEASE make more. If there were a subscription for your classes I'd gladly pay. With COVID we need more at home content and my gym closed.

Just mastered the last trick, of this routine, it took me a good few months to get back into the routine. I was used to this kind of advanced step class, but took a break for maternity and the gym club no longer this kind of classes. Hence KZbin! Thank you Ashli! Fantastic routine, I hope to follow you on many more advanced step classes :)

I've doing step for 4 or 5 years now. Since this COVID-19 pandemic occurred, I've been looking for Step classes in KZbin. Ashli is an awesome instructor. My only problem is that you are not running the class back facing, as though you were instructing a live class. Because of this I was getting screwed up on which leg I should be on several times and couldn't get the full effect of your GREAT work out routine. I guess I'll be back if you ever make a video where you are back facing. Thanks.

Amazing workout! It is very fast-paced and challenging, and the steps are very difficult to get on the first try. But it had me sweating bullets and I'm in pretty good shape.

Absolutely loved the routine and the teachers rhythm and moves are fantastic. The only thing I request is the music being louder. Your class is great but when I get tired what's your class class wipes me out, music pushes me through and I cannot hear that bass or that UMPH. Everything else is exceptional. Thanks!!

GymBox/Ashli, this is my favorite step aerobics video that I've found online. I love that it's advanced and fast paced. It's really hard to find advanced videos online imo. I love the choreography and Ashli is upbeat, which makes it fun. Maybe you could make a few more advanced videos???😊 Ohh, but could you make some with fun Pop music instead of the weird techno you've got going on? That'd be awesome.

i dropped alot of weight in a class just like this one. When i first started, i fumbled over the step, and mixed up the moves. But i kept going until i got it down just like the instructor. it can be done...it is possible.

Agreed. I haven't done this in 8 years and am just coming back to it because of COVID. I had to do this routine at 75% playback speed. Gotta keep at it.

She's great and the routine would be a winner, but it is way too fast and it would be helpful if the instructor demonstrated each new combo before just jumping into them. Most routines I've used will allow the changes first so I know what to expect. She knows where she's going, but too hard to follow for me.

silva tanielian Ashli's choreography is fast, tricky and fun! A great place to start might be this class kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2fGmGhqitSCY6M . It is 30 minutes, taught at a slower speed and has simpler choreography. It is also fine to do without a step!

This is not only a very confusing workout… It's a very dangerous one when there is absolutely no queuing before step changes.

You're right. I tried it and I'm fuming because I wasted my workout today. You should try Angie Fitness TV. She does REAL step, not too complicated choreography, well-paced, above all SAFE! She has over 300 workouts to choose from, all different, all fun. I had a serious injury with one instructor already (same complicated type routines) and I'm wary now who to follow on KZbin. Here's the link in case you want to give it a try. She does weights too for toning ... a pretty good mix for an all round workout. kzbin.info/door/Jkxjzp8DFadQRiJp3yUdKg

I have been doing step aerobics for years, so I feel like I am advanced, but this was way too fast. Maybe I've been lucky with good teachers who slow it down a bit at first. It doesn't have to be in slow motion, but this was too fast. I like it when it's fast after getting the moves down. I'm sure if I did this a few times I would catch on. Also, am I the only one who feels like I would catch on faster if the instructor was facing the same way as me? Anyway, not my favorite, I'll probably keep searching.

i much prefer learning with the instructor facing away.

Try Angie Fitness TV. She does old-school type and safe workouts. She faces the audience too, but she's easy to follow and she's got a huge variety of workouts to choose from. She's unpretentious, too, which is a plus. No complex choreography. Basic steps but intensive routines. kzbin.info/door/Jkxjzp8DFadQRiJp3yUdKg

Tried it. Been doing step since literally the beginning. Not a fan of this unfortunately. The combos don't make a lot of sense and don't flow well. She does a great job of queuing but should put more time into combos that work.
@johnrobertson75836 жыл бұрын
2 counts of a step is 2 FOUR counts...not 4 steps. Draw upon the basic...one basic is 4 steps.
