+AQUA NUT The stone is fun to work with...i really took the time with a knitting needle to really dig out the clay. Made the pores just pop!

Nice effect with the small detailing stones, it really helped the perspective. Interesting use of the fan paint brush...do you paint as well? Looking forward to seeing the final scape

+Ama Teur Thanks. It is the little details that helps add realism and depth i find. And yes i do paint as well but have also found that the fan brush has just the right amount of control for sand.

I seem to have some brown spots on my tank glass amd all over my spider wood, could this be from the dragon stone? I scrubbed it for days
@n.o.a.h.-northernontarioaq79914 жыл бұрын
Possibly, if you didn't dig into the holes and clean out the mud usually deep in them. But, if it is a new tank then it is most likely diatoms. Diatoms are a sign of immature or insufficient bacterial colonies in newer tanks. Manually remove it as it appears and work towards maintaining stability and balance and they will disappear with time.

Approximately how many kg of dragon stones did you used?
@n.o.a.h.-northernontarioaq79913 жыл бұрын
I really couldn't say...I had a tote full and just grabbed pieces as I went. Sorry, I can't be specific, or even appropriate...I never paid attention when I did it.

How many lbs of dragon rock you use
@n.o.a.h.-northernontarioaq79915 жыл бұрын
Probably roughly 15-20lbs. I am guessing a bit. I know at the time I had about 40lbs of the stone and this was around half maybe?

U didn't clean the sand?
@n.o.a.h.-northernontarioaq79916 жыл бұрын
Don't need to with commercial sands....especially with ADA as it is intended for aquarium use and prepared for such. 😊

Fun fact : dragon stone did not come from fossilised dragon scale!

Not to mention that people are not as well suited to chivalric quests as they once were!
