Thanks for this video Fred. Seems to be a bit of conflicting info on wiring colors out there. I'm happy to say, your info is spot on! Lights work perfectly and install went very well. Couple of notes.... My lights came with a1/4" foam backing around the edges, I presume to head of water infiltration. I covered the cable with flex insulation as an added layer of protection. I did cut the tape back surrounding the headlight wiring, and placed the splicer back away from the plug, just in case things go south later, to leave something to work with, rather than having to replace the entire headlamp plug. Thankyou!

@@johncampbell2486 Hello, ok I would make sure that you are getting power to both splices. It is very easy for the splices to not cut enough wire insulation to get electricity from the wire. So what I would do is use a test light to see that you definitely have power at the splices. If you do not have a test light swap the wires at the splices and see if the opposite light comes on, then you definitely know that one is not powered. Then open the splices and make sure it has seated properly around the wire. If you do have power on both, then the light has an issue. One last thing if you have a lariat, then scroll down a few comments and you will see an exchange where the lariat passenger side is a different wire color. Hope his makes sense and please let me know how you make out.

Yes, I would double check the red splicer on he directional wire. A lot of times they don’t full make contact. A easy way to check is with a test like that. If you don’t have a test light. Ok sure I can help. So did you add the red ( scotch-lock ) to the appropriate wires? Just make sure that when the red scotch lock is open that the wire is inside the grove like I show in the video. Now take the metal piece and you will see a slot in the end of the red scotch lock push the metal piece in that slot until it is fully seated. Then check that the lights work. If one light is not full seated or the wire is not fully contacted within the wire the light won’t work. I hope this makes sense.
