This was a fitting way for the 75th season to end, 2 of the original teams battling it out in the grandest stage the Nba Finals and the team who won the championship in the inaugural year of this league comes away with the championship and Curry proving everyone wrong and getting that fmvp is such a special moment.

People have to stop this. Steph was actually Batman all day long. He let Robin (KD) wear the Batman cowl, because that was an extra sensitive Robin and Steph had no problem giving the cowl so the team could win. That's how great of a leader he is.
@ajl2782 жыл бұрын
Love this analogy. I’d say Klay is Robin, as he’s been by his side the whole time, and KD is the Flash. The Flash will team up, but he’s a one man show in nature. Batman is grateful for the help of someone with superpowers to take down a ‘supervillain’, and willing to lurk in the shadows while the Flash does the heavy lifting, but you know Batman is the brains behind it. And he’ll continue to do more than any other man out of will and wit, after the Flash is gone. Also: Draymond is Alfred, Kerr is Gordon 😆🤣

I'd agree. That might be the craziest part of this season. We won the title WHILE KEEPING the kids. I don't think anyone has EVER done that. I mean, three years from now, Kuminga, Poole, and maybe Wiseman could all be all stars. Realistically, we could have the championship starting lineup of the future ALREADY ON THE TEAM. Poole, Moody, Wiggins, Kuminga, and Wiseman. Remember, Wiggins is only 27. By the time he hits 30, Poole will be 25, Kuminga and Moody 22, and Wiseman around 23. Add to it the fact that Jordan Poole, at age 22, got big time playoffs championship experience, and not only will we have youth, but somehow, we'll have EXPERIENCE too. I mean, when was the last time we saw that? Magic Johnson, Larry Bird? Maybe Tim Duncan? Just amazing job by Bob Myers and the front office. Don't wanna get too far ahead of ourselves, but this season could have ramifications for years to come beyond just winning it all this year

Which means not a downgrade at all if he fits more
@lyrics2challenged2 жыл бұрын
@@thej1615 I'd argue still a downgrade. KD with Curry in the warriors system likely doesn't go past game 5. Ever. Because he still has at least decent defense and scores from everywhere. For example, Curry nor KD probably wouldn't have to drop 40 once, (for a W) if together. C's wouldn't guard both of them without leaving like 2-3 others open. They found out what happens when the rest of the team came to play too, quite frankly. Still can't believe KD alone played so much better in playoffs than with Kyrie. Goes to show two stars who don't mesh, are just two stars co-existing.

A downgrade but doesn't mean it's necessarily a bad thing. Also, KD could become permanently injury-prone and so far Wiggins hasn't been.

I literally think the Warriors lose that series with KD. Why? Cuz he woulda been sucking up the ball doing his slow ass isos and obviously the Celtics defense is meant for that. Hence him getting swept. Warriors against Houston before KD went down were in a highly contested series. Why? Cuz Kerr was playing through the inferior player. When that inferior player went down, I said to my brother. The Warriors aren’t losing another game. Kerr woulda done the same shit here and KD isos are the anti Steph gravity.

Steph deserved the 2018 finals MVP, but he lost because of 1 bad game. And even than, he still hit a clutch 3 that gave Warriors the lead and momentum in the 4th. And KD finished them off with another deep dagger. Ty Lue even admitted, that even with KD and Klay on the floor, that Curry was the player they feared the most, therefore he was given more attention defensively. It's not a knock on KD, but Steph drew attention and KD greatly benefitted from it. Steph was legit MVP in 2015 and 2018.

They tried to stop curry in game 5 but Steph was willing to let others shine to win the game unlike other superstars who wants to do it all but lost. WHAT ARE YOU GONNA SAY NOW haters?

Maybe because the west was so weak this year that they had an easy run to the finals. Played an injured denver team, an inexperienced an injured memphis team, and an overachieving mavs.

Bruh RW3 and Jaylen Brown were the Cs. RW3 was so fucking good through his leg injury boy was completing orebs, intercepted passes, was always free in the paint. JB was cooking making great plays and making impossible shots. The city was going crazy tho when dray made that 3 and started that 21-0 run

Kerr was right when he said this was the most unlikely championship. Imagine being the kings of the west for a long time then getting dethroned for 3 years because of injuries and most of their vets retiring. After 2019, Dray was all alone with gleaguers cuz some dumb sht sat on curry's hand. They suddenly became the worst team in the league. Then the next season, steph comes back and had an mvp season. He led his team to the 8th seed but lost in the play in. He was patient. He never left, he didnt demand for a trade to better teams. He stuck with them and waited for klay. He knew that with klay everything would change. Next the 75th season. Warriors came out the gates burning. They got new vets and poole emerging, Klay comes back, dray gets hurt. DRay comes back, steph goes down. The trio played 11 minutes the whole season. Their first complete game? The 1st game of the 1st round in the west. From then on, they destroyed teams. They never let any team get them to 7. It was a storybook season with the perfect ending. Nobody believed in them but their families, organization, and dubnation. Everybody picked against them. Kicked them while they were down, then they came back like a king coming home from a long hunt. And theyre only gonna get better.

Steph has always been a top 10 talent; this broke him through any barriers keeping him out of discussions of top 10 players. I would’ve put him there anyways, but it’s cool to see him getting the respect he’s earned. Anyone who doesn’t put him top 10 at this point will change their mind in hindsight.

It’s funny that if Wiggins was scoring like he was his Minnesota years while also defending and doing all the grind work like he did in the playoffs he would have been pretty close to the expectations ppl had for him coming in to the league.
