@@Longasseboy i'm a fan of the game in my forties. I'm french living in the US. I watched the game live in Bercy. I was telling my group of friends before tipoff Curry is about to drop them 3 pt grenades on us when it'll matter. His game perfectly fits the fiba style. Kobe once said there is some kind of calmness inside Curry that makes him a KILLER. Don't get fooled by his laid back demeanor. He's after all the greatest shooter God ever created. And basketball is about putting that orange thang in the basket. When you have that kind of range, defenders are at your mercy. That dagger over 2 defenders after dribbling is the icing on the cake. My friends were all yelling "pour l'amour de Dieu, pas lui svp" meaning "for God shake, not him". I was making fun of them replying "tight your a** and pray God, he misses" that's the only remaining option. His shooting skills off the dribble, catch and shoot or whatver ...is just insane.

@@Gw19838 Noah Lyles was right though. We all know Curry is a deadly shooter from the parking lot. People doubting his clutch genes are within the nba sphere, not overseas. So doing it on the biggest stage for the whole world to see in an olympic gold medal game weighs bigger than the nba finals. Sorry to say that but the audience ain't the same ! Weren't the stakes high? Gold medal on the line for USA? I can't fathom that avengers losing that gold medal, media and fans would annihilate Lebron, Curry and KD. That would have been a major major stain on their legacy !!

I get tired having to explain this. Folks constantly want to reference Magic’s or LeBron’s assists #s. Like imagine playing in the league for 15years, folks watching you play, and they still not understand how your presence on the floor makes it easier for your team mates to score. The definition of an assist. But because there isn’t a metric to truly quantify that impact into a layman’s understanding, you have to listen/read endless amounts of nobodies tell you how much you’re “not a true PG”…dummies I tell ya

It’s his sublime ball handling, his ability to weave in and out of traffic; his soft finishes at the rim, with either hand; his midrange marksmanship, his balletic assortment of floaters, scoops and step-throughs; his passing and playmaking and court vision; his rebounding (especially for his size); his stout screen-setting (ditto); his knack for drawing double teams, then solving them with a quick pass or shot. Curry excels at all of it, according to teammates, coaches and rivals. It’s just that we miss the nuances amid the mesmerizing haze of 35-footers.’ {source: ‘Wilt. SHAQ. LeBron. Steph Curry? One more time did we get to see the greatness of Steph Curry in action during a game that mattered. To think that he and James got to play alongside each other. What a dream that was. Congratulations to the men's team. International basketball is catching up but for one more time we staved them off because of 'cheat code' and LeBron.

Steph Curry is an amazing player, the Mikhail Baryshnikov of Men's Basketball. LeBron is the Bruiser, who shows such leadership with a wide range of abilities. Every player on Team USA was fabulous, particularly in the way they checked their egos and worked as a TEAM. France was a formidable opponent who gave us a run for our money: exactly what the watchers want to see in a game. They did their country proud.

For it to be a fair match, it should be US vs. Europe. US has 334 million people. France is in the 60 million plus category. I don't think individual sports are affected like team sports are. Small countries are held back when they try to come up with an outstanding team. So hats off to France, Serbia. South Sudan I think is about 11 million people.

All i can say is that these batch of great players are unlike their predecessors in being unselfish. Both Lebron and KD gave Curry his moment, especially since this is his first (& most likely last, but hopefully not) Olympics. Only athletes who are confident of their achievements can leave their egos and defer to another equally great athlete so they can win the trophy! Now, i hope to see that kind of greatness in the next batch of NBA players.
