Comparing Steph's accurate 3-point shooting to AI's crossover is a terrible comparison
@BLVCKSTVR_YT5 ай бұрын
It's not. Kyrie is kyrie because of his handles. Steph is steph because his shooting. Allen had a few moves not just because of him but the culture of the nba then would bench kyrie and steph for their playstyles. And they took his best move away. The move he waited to Tru on mike his whole life. And he continued to torch people.
@RandomPlayer3215 ай бұрын
I agree it’s a terrible take. They make it seem like all Steph does is spot up and shot. And all AI did was a crossovers. It’s apart of their bags but it’s not what makes them great. Same thing with kyrie, kyries finishing and shot making is equally as great if not greater than his ball handling.

He’s also shot 40% from three 7 times in his career on decent volume and you know the shot quality is tough as well. I don’t know about Gil’s on this one. Steph is still one of the best at handling the ball ever and would still be a hall of famer. His MVP seasons were won because he finished best in the league at true shooting and a big part of that was finishing amongst the best centers at finishing at the rim. Check the stats. Only thing I’ll concede is hand checking. If that’s still around the league would be different so AI dealt with hard fouls. Maybe that’s why he was so fast :)

If they're going to hand check, I'm going to go for a shot attempt and cause a foul. The reason it works is because hand checking never really left. Watch Steph play, see how much he gets grabbed, pushed, and checked. Physicality definitely still exists. But now, players aren't trying to injure each other and ruin careers. And when they DO try that, they get shamed for it. As they should. People often like to claim that there was more physicality back in the 90s. Really, it was just poor sportsmanship.

Steph's skillset is more than shooting threes, it's three's, his movement without the ball, and his ability to get to the rim. He literally has the highest shooting percentage in the painted area among all players under 6'7 in NBA history. 3.) The narrative that Steph can't or doesn't play defense is tired at this point. Hardly any guard in the league can guard any other guard straight up. So by that theory, 80% of all guards in the league can't defend.

WHAT part cant your low iq brain understand that? if thats not enough maybe you understand that 30 points on a game that ends with 120 points is the same as 20 points in a game that ends with 80 points.

Steph is not a point guard. He’s an undersized shoot first shooting guard. Steph is not orchestrating the offense, getting the team into sets, and facilitating for his whole team. This is what made Draymond so important to Golden State. Draymond was a glue guy and facilitator that Steph was not.

Please stop, just say you don’t watch Steph. It’s a reason why Steph changed the game.
@kingtremaine62325 ай бұрын
Again, for the slow people, Steph is the best shooter ever. Although he can do some point guard ish things, his impact on his team would be minimal without his shooting. Some of your greatest point guards could control or take over a game without taking a single shot. This concept is imperceivable to people who don’t understand basketball past the most rudimentary level. Example, I watched Steph (the greatest shooter ever) score 60 points and still lose to a terrible Atlanta team. A great point guard could score considerably less figure out how to get more points out of other teammates.
@rainzzx47085 ай бұрын
@@kingtremaine6232 LOL, you can’t be serious using that ALANTA game as an example, I watched that game LIVE. His teammates were missing wide OPEN shots that Steph created for them. What’s your point? Steph without his shooting is a pointless hypothetical, but when Steph was in slumps he still contributed to his team heavily. You’re just in a stupid basketball IQ high horse. Steph changed how Point guards play, when Steph’s role is to score because NO ONE ELSE ON HIS TEAM CAN GET THEIR OWN BUCKET, it becomes obvious how great he is.
