Steph was happy to sacrifice for Durant but not Draymond. Draymond had to tell KD know they don't need him. If he did it once publicly, who knows how many times he did it privately. Steph humility made him what he is recognized today as a four time champion. If he wasn’t willing to take the back seat and have the skill too, those championship never would of happen with KD. God rewarded him by him getting his fourth ring without any excuses, he had a unproven Jordan Poole and washed klay and draymond beat the dynamic Celtics. With any superstar they probably wouldnt of win that series but that was all Steph especially that 40 point game 4 at Boston he is the real deal a transcendent generational player. If you ask me who better between KD and Steph it could be KD and that’s only because he is a 7 footer with a unblockable jump shot. At least Steph you are able to block his shot but what’s makes him great is that he could shoot on the dribble and off the ball and EVERY SINGLE SHOT he take his off ball movement is so legendary he will always get a good or decent shot. @@ArmandoKozomara I agree the sacrificed peak with no talent part. But honestly I doubt he would’ve played any better without Shaq, if anything he might’ve gotten worse. Man, all this talk about “Steph allowed…” There’s one thing I know about basketball as someone who watches and plays: everyone knows who the best player on the court is. It’s instantaneous. Roll the ball out, and in five possessions, everyone knows who the best is out there. Also, they both sacrificed. KD went from scoring 28-32 ppg to scoring 25-26. Took fewer shots, played more defense, passed more. Everyone sacrificed to make that thing work. They all knew what they had to do, and they did it, because they all wanted to win. This endless drive to put them against each other is tiring.

I think this says more about Lebron than anyone. Golden State was already a dominant team for the previous years prior to KD joining. It is quite possible that GS would have won those titles without KD, depending on how Lebron fared. Lebron is always compared to Jordan on how many titles he has, however, Lebron didn't have a "Pippen" style player with him year after year. I see Lebron as the ultimate team player because he can play with anyone and get the best out of them without humiliating them. Lebron has a separate handshake with each team member, which is also evident that he knows the capabilities and limitations of each of them. Regardless, I believe Lebron "overall" is the most dominant team player (GOAT) to play the game while Jordan is the most dominant individual player. (GOAT) At least in the last 30-40 YEARS. Personally, I grew up in the Dr. J era and he didn't play in the NBA until the ABA and NBA merged. That is my real GOAT. Check his highlights.

That’s one way of looking at it but you also gotta consider it’s not good enough for steph to just say I want someone. You got a lot of stuff behind the scenes that take place to get someone. You're looking at it wrong. You thinking of it in terms of numbers. Yes KD took less shots but the shots he was taking in GS vs OKC were way higher quality. He almost became a catch and shoot guy on GS. No double teams whatsoever. He was able to play one on one basketball. His efficiency went up when he went to GS. There was more ball movement and he didn't have to sit around and wait for Russ to pass him the ball. KD's basketball life was without a doubt better when he switched teams. Can't say he really sacrificed anything besides a few points and a few shots a game. But what does that matter when he's able to pick up 2 rings(would've been 3 had he not gotten hurt) on his way.

@@ideservesomehappinessinmyl5500 Credit. Steph was the man on his squad with back to back league MVP's one being unanimous. Without KD Steph could have had another MVP. But with KD there he would never be looked at as that guy. And speaking of narratives, it was said that KD carried the Warriors. It wasn't until just recently(after KD's failures and Steph's successes) that Steph is getting the credit he deserves.
