First off neither Stephanie nor Taylor were saints. If Brooke is a slut, so were they. Taylor has also slept with Eric, Throne and Ridge and countless other people including Brooke's son. How come people adore her? And Stephanie? We all know she was sleeping around with Eric while he was with Beth Logan. And we all know Ridge is not Eric's son. So you see, they are not perfect either. Of course he was stupid to leave her but if it hadn't been for that, maybe they hadn't gotten a divorce. And also after Taylor's breakup with Rick she went after Ridge when he was with Brooke, didn't sleep with him but she did kiss him. And although neither of them were seing someone else, she did date Ridge and Storm at the same time at one point!

It was beyond the pale when Brooke did that to Bridget twice, and with her son in law, on BOTH occasions.

Stephanie always struck me as being too obsessed with her son,Ridge. She. seemed to have an unhealthy bond with him.She never showed as much affection to her other children as she did to him. She was hateful towards Brooke- until it was time for her to pass- it was then she made amends with Brooke. Susan Flannery played Stephanie as a very powerful,but usually vengeful character. I admired her strength but not her vindictive ways.
