My ex narc would tell people..."whatever I did I could never make her happy." How about spending time with me, helping out around the house and communicating when we had issues without flipping it around and pointing the finger at "me." I walked away when I couldn't take it anymore. The grass was greener because he has moved on. Have not missed the lies, cheating and manipulation. Making a new life for myself and know my self worth!

That's what my ex said. She could never make me happy. I don't remember complaining? When asked for an example of what she meant she couldn't give me one except for one time 5 years ago where I asked her to wash the dishes off before putting them in the washer because some of the dishes were not getting clean. Here is a woman that I am finding out during all of this that she had multiple affairs and lied and put us in tons of debt and she is standing here barking at me that I always put her down and controlled her life? That she was never good enough for me. And that was the problem in our marriage was me not her having affairs and lying. I literally had her in my phone as "Awesome Wife" she meant the world to me and it broke my heart. I eventually got into her google account a few times and Then I found the texts she had sent to her friends and family. Just nothing but exaggerations of things that I did in a few arguments we had throughout the years where I did unfortunetly name call (she never once talked about how we made up usually a couple of hours after and all was good and all the apologies I made that she said she forgave me). She had filmed me and convinced people I was a emotional abuser and that was how I acted every single day. Some of the affairs and her friends said terrible things like hoping I died or got arrested and put in jail for years. She would go on about how she just couldn't believe I had become this awful person. And then literally next day be talking to the same friends about how she was having affairs and they were all just laughing it off saying I deserved it.

@@zacharykassner9002 it is never fair being on the other end of the relationship. One thing to realize that when you sit back and analyze it , when you personally thought you were the "crazy one" it was them being deceitful and lying. Im so sorry you had to go thru that. It takes along time but you will learn from those lessons and know that you are worth so much more to someone who really cares. Im still searching and scared to death to trust again. I had never heard of a narcassist before and god knows will pay attention to the "red flags." And to my gut. I wish you the best!

She confronted him and he denied responsibility. Her take was she was not trusted by him. I was being love-bombed by a real creep (I was fooled for about a month). He said to me, "I was in love with this girl in (town). I gave her everything. I was there when she needed me. I always had flowers ready for her when she came out of work, I called her, I dedicated songs to her on the radio. She rejected me and her brothers picked me up one day in a van when I as on my way home from work. They dragged me in, beat me up, dumped me on the outskirts of town and told me to never talk to their sister again or come back to town. She was cold-hearted and evil." Of course, it turned out that he had been stalking her. Later, he did the same to me. Incredible, the spin some people can put on things.

Once I came home to find my whole bedroom completely turned upside down, the bed literally torn apart, the headboard completely knocked down and drawers pulled out and emptied. Another time I found he had thrown out all my clothes, and a lot of family heirlooms, irreplaceable items. Then I discovered he threw away all of my cookbooks given to me by deceased relatives because he felt he wasn’t being “supported enough.” I could keep going. 41+ years I finally said enough when came after my little dog who tried to protect me from his anger. The anger came less frequently in early years and grows to be incessant. But they convince you that it’s all your fault until you get tired of all the blame and say, “no, not anymore.”

Yes, the hidden message of “you just didn’t let me abuse you” is SO TRUE!!! He was always saying I was “disrespectful” which made no sense because I’m a military veteran so respect is brainwashed into me lol 😂… I finally figured out that “disrespect” meant he was mad that he couldn’t just completely disrespect me, insult me all the time, rage at me, abandon me when I needed him, and completely dismiss all of my feelings, thoughts, and opinions, without me pointing out what he was doing… it also meant, he was mad that he couldn’t 100% control my every word, feeling, thought, and hand motion (he got mad if I moved my hands)… so essentially, he was just upset that he couldn’t abuse me without any repercussions… It is not disrespectful to have self-respect. Every person needs to have respect for themselves and others. It’s a two-way street that goes inwards and outwards. The duty of self-respect is to be the gatekeepers for our own hearts and minds as far as what we allow to enter.

It's so confusing bc when my husband and I are arguing we can ping pong between responding codependently and responding narcissistically throughout the argument, back and forth. So I'm always checking to make sure that I'm not the narcissist. I just want to make sure that I'm doing all that I can to be healthy for my kids. If there is something that I can change then I want to do it. Then one day I came across a comment that stated something like "if you've ever wondered if you are the narcissist, if you've ever researched it, if you have ever tried to make changes to be more healthy, then you are not the narcissist". You are reacting to the narcissist in a narcissistic manner is what I got out of it. Its important to remember that everyone has narcissistic traits depending on the trigger, situation, etc. Such an eye opener but also just so confusing. I'm so glad I'm leaving the marriage. I feel like I havent reacted like myself in so long that I have forgotten who I am. It's important to stick to a life that makes sense instead of this chaos so that you can also consistently and peacefully remain yourself.

Great video- But when the shoe was on the other foot... I’ve had 2 friends ask me what happened, after an ending of my friendship with a narcissist. I answered, “I found out we are completely different people.” One of them pressed on, “Yeah, but what happened.” I simply stated, “We are very different people, with different lifestyles. So, let’s just leave it at that.” Then we moved on to talk about other things. Idk what the narcissist has to say about me, and I don’t really care. (Within all of their malicious gossip and lies)... I don’t allow a narcissist to define my reality. I’m not allowing myself to discuss the details with anyone, who may have the potential to be a flying monkey, and stir drama. Nor do I feel the need to try to explain, the actions and mindset of a covert narcissist. Many people just don’t understand what a narcissist is. So, sometimes, the less said, the better off you are! :) Thank you for your videos! I appreciate decent people like yourself, who are empowering others in their lives. ❤️

Kelsey Foster I wish my ex wife did that , I would have been very happy. I asked her for mutual divorce with co-parenting since We have a kid but she went and filed divorce falsely claiming Domestic violence and saying I took a huge amount of money and her jewellery and told me she needs a lump sum money as security to live with me and alienated my kid from me. She even changed my kid’s second name to get under my skin .Divorce is done now and she reversed all other cases when asked to submit proof but she is playing mind games with the kid. She thought she just had to shed crocodile tears and the judge is gone to turn against me like her parents and family. Luckily I had proof which I had actually made to convince my own parents that she is violent ,narcissistic and a compulsive liar. She has a baby face and can shed tears in matter of seconds and laugh under it. Even now she is trying to bait me and claims that I don’t understand her and only reason she filed for divorce was I didn’t provide security. She is expecting that I will beg her to come back if she dangles the kid. I have done that before the divorce but not anymore . I missed my kid really bad in the beginning and felt guilty for no reason but things got better and I had an awakening and have a sane and peaceful life now. I know I will get to see my kid soon and enjoy a good relationship with him. I watched the movie “Gone girl” . I could so relate to it. I don’t understand how they are super dumb ,unbelievably cunning and absolutely fearless at the same time. I mean some of her schemes were outstanding and they can do little things perfectly to get you but only for time being as When their stories start falling it usually falls like dominos.

I didn’t hear from a single person in his family or our friends when I left the narcissist, my fiancé. I was devastated. Now, I’m getting back on my feet and walking toward a brighter future. It was really helpful to hear this video. Thank you! I have no doubt he played the victim to his family. I bet he played the victim to some friends and colleagues too...new supply was a full blown relationship by the time I left. I think he was asking her to move in as I was moving out. Your videos give me healing and sanity. I’ve been working on myself, healing codependency and never again will I lower my standards like this relationship.

" you're no better than me, you're no better than me". When I stepped up and stepped out to do work for the a not for profit and won state awards. He was angry when HE could not have a baby and I could! I learned to not care what he said; and he said plenty. I am thankful he never spent time with our kids. I gave up arguing after trying to make things better by standing my ground and trying not to be walked on or abused so I quit trying to change things and just kept my mouth shut. I focused on my kids and am glad I did. We do heal

Wow! I can totally see my wife saying all those things to other people(especially my circle of family and friends) if I were to leave her, as if I’m the crazy one. This is kinda hard for me to hear though, because if people were to come up to me and ask why we got divorced, I would have to tell them the truth even though I would rather just not say anything because I don’t think they would believe me anyway. My wife has a lot of people in her social circle and she has done a very good job of making sure they only see a certain side of her, not the abusive side that I’ve seen these 18 years of marriage. So, I kinda feel like I would end up sounding like the narcissist.

O' My you are so right! Amazing video! I can say one thing you are right about they almost always have someone in there life that they are having either an emotional or physical affair with. I noticed that is the only time we had major problems, in our marriage. And when they have that supply that is connecting with them on an emotional level, they start to make you out to be the Villain in their story. It helps gain control over that person and when that person falls for it, they will do anything for them because they are the victim! I have watched other guys buying her gifts and supporting her every need. I have watched this play out 3 times now in a 20 year marriage. These are very broken individuals who most likely had childhood trauma in their life, that they have not dealt with. OR they have a family member who has done the same behavior and that's what they know to do, to get attention and get their needs met in physical goods or just getting everything taken care of in their life. They want the respect of kings/queens and the accountability of a toddler. I still believe they could get help and past their issues and become a better person, BUT that takes coming to grip with the trauma and dealing with it. That is the hard part when their whole lives all they do is run and blame others.

Mine has burned so many bridges with his family (as an alcoholic) that I’m not sure they would believe anything he told them about me, especially if the story is true that he hasn’t been hiding his new supply from them - we’re still married while he’s off gallivanting with her 🙄 Even if they did believe him, it wouldn’t matter. I know my truth, and God knows my truth, and anyone who really knows ME, knows my truth.

Thank you for putting it all into perspective. I miss my ex's parents. They love me as well and I know they did. I showed them my heart and went out of my way to do loving things for them. Not for points but because it's who I am. I'm empathetic unlike their daughter. But she is their daughter and no matter what I know they will take her side. I have told her father all along that I don't want to tell you the truth about her because it will hurt you. I hope he remember those words as I'm no longer around and as she cries her crocodile tears and plays the victim. She was awful to me. It hurt really bad. And the sad thing is I knew I had to walk away from somebody I loved but I didn't understand what was going on and now I do. I walked away from somebody that didn't love me at all. Kicking myself for loving somebody like that. All the things I caught her doing and the lies she would tell. I guess it just took a while for my mind to believe what my heart already knew. But I think they know the truth about her and after 2 years I'm not going to even say goodbye to them. I told her just before no contact that my revenge is not to tell anybody about her, who she really is, but allow her to live her life the way she does. That is my smile on the inside as I move on. The next guy up had better learn as quickly as I did and pay attention to the signs. Thank you for these videos they help.

Very well explained! The worst thing you can do to a narcissist is stand your ground speak your truth, Know Who You Are get your power back and simply tell them no more! That is how I became my ex narcs worst enemy! And how I saw her true mask finally come off and it was a nightmare for a while especially since I have a daughter with her. But in the long run it is for the best they feel no remorse they really look at people in their lives as possessions and objects it's truly sad, and seriously thank you for the good work you do!

Literally happened to me she hurt me so bad I completely lost it.. I should’ve known she would do anything to me when I saw how she treated her father once..can’t believe I got caught slipping like that I loved her and that’s why I have trust issues now and I just lock up. I don’t understand how someone can pretend to love you that much only to cut you that deep. I never saw it coming thought everything was good then one day she just makes my heart sink into my stomach this is also in the middle of me suffering the loss of my Aunt and youngest sister to cancer so I was already a total mess. He was all of the above and of course, in the end, me being the only one who ever worked...paying for everything.....Trying my best, he had broken 2 bedroom doors, the back door, punched holes in walls, broke my dishes, destroyed my kitchen island, stole from me, beat me, choked me, broke my nose.....IT WAS ALL MY FAULT? circle the flying monkeys, gaslighting, blame shifting, you name it. In the end he had already moved on and had been moving on (several times) with another woman. The he did the same to her, go figure. I am glad he is out of my life. Forever.
