I like to use the Inkey List retinol eye cream followed by the CeraVe peptide eye cream (but any good moisturizer will do). WOW Stephanie Marie this was an absolutely FANTASTIC tutorial .. I have been struggling so much with trying to get this right .. I am 53 and I have been using a colour corrector and concealer for years but always seem to struggle with a lot of creasing (despite watching literally HOURS of tutorials on youtube!) .. in fact sometimes my undereye looks worse. Now I finally understand what is happening .. I am using the wrong brushes, I am applying too much corrector in too many areas, and I am also using too much concealer, in the wrong places with the wrong brush!! The fine paintbrush is GENIUS. I find it particularly difficult to get the corrector into that little dark-purple spot in the hollow of the inner corner of my eye .. and now I know why. I think your tips will actually change my 'make-up life' forever!!! Thank you!! xx

My under eyes hollows are by far my biggest issue always and I'm constantly trying different things. Right now I'm using the Keihl's avocado cream and Aquaphor to moisturize (day and night). I’m a glasses wearer at home so that alone is a camouflage. But sometimes I will have contacts in with no makeup and even my own family will look at me strangely because they’re not used to seeing me without some kind of cover. I’m always looking for that holy grail corrector/concealer combo with industrial strength coverage that doesn’t make me look 100. Lighting is a huge part. In front of my vanity lights I think it looks flawlessly covered. Then I walk into overhead lighting and bam, they’re right back. It’s really tempting not to keep layering.

For those with fair skin and problematic dark under eyes, try the Natasha Denona corrector in the lightest shade. It was on sale so I gave in and tried it, after hearing about how fab the concealer formula is. Well, this corrector is one of the only products that doesn’t make my dry, textured, lined undereyes look worse. Somehow, it corrects the blue discoloration and looks undectable. It is close enough to my skin tone to act as concealer as well. Magical!

Thanks so much for the tutorial! This past year or so I have been struggling with severely dry under eyes with dark circles due to autoimmune issues. I have tried so many combinations but still haven't found one that truly works for me yet. I will try some of your suggestions. I also have recently noticed some other youtube makeup influencers are suggesting to use another shade of concealer to color correct instead of an actual color corrector. I may try this as well as it seems all of the color correctors I have tried so far seem to cause issues with my concealer but maybe it's because I'm not waiting long enough for it to set.

I just had to follow up! The Bobbi Brown Corrector Stick is amazing! I would have never thought to use this because of always being told I needed a peach colored corrector. It is so creamy and does blend so much better with my concealer than other color correctors I have tried. Using a very small brush to apply small amounts has helped me as well. I've been using the Tarte Extra Creamy Shapetape and the combo has worked so well for me! Also the Pat McGrath Powder for the under eye is amazing. Thanks so much! This was the BEST undereye tutorial I have watched and I have been watching so many!

Finally !! Atlast, somebody's posting a video tutorial for placing concealer for a most natural result ! I love this video, and I will keep coming back to it for reference until I master your technique blind. All I've ever seen for concealer tips show young girls applying this huge upside down triangle that takes the concealer all the way down the sides of your nose. I don't want or need that. I also appreciate the fact that you stipple the product in to blend it, because I have seen other videos where the concealer was applied and then just kind of smeared to blend it in, but then the smearing tends to transfer it to other areas where I don't want it to go. I should have figured outthis tapping technique on my own, because it seems so logical now that I'm seeing you demo it, but I was just getting more and more confused with the other tutorials. I also noticed that when you set it with powder that, you are just blotting it in the specific area and not swiping the powder that only caused shifting. Thank you very much for this very informative tutorial, I learned a lot !

Over the years, I have been using on and off eye creams. The vast majority are so overated and expensive. What better worked for me was a good retinal and a good vitamine C toped with a good peptides cream for the face (extra thick layer). Over time (I’m almost 50) the retinal thickened the skin of my under eyes, what made the blue and darkness much less visible. Then the Charlotte Tilbury corrector under the concealer.

Hey Stephanie! Love this technique! I use a very similar technique, but I use 2 shades of the same concealer to be sure they'll blend. I use a matte liquid lip color in a medium coral shade as my color corrector, then I use the darker of the two concealers. I like the emollient feel of the lip liquid, it's not at all sticky and doesn't get crusty as it sets. After I finish my face and eye makeup, then I use the lighter concealer shade, followed by translucent finishing powder just in case I have eyeshadow fallout or mascara smears I have to clean up. It really makes a difference! Thanks for the video, and Happy Thanksgiving!

I am good and with you until the powder stage. I did buy the Pat McGrath powder in the lightest colour but all that happens (for me) is it really emphasizes my under eye wrinkles. Any suggestions for this? Thank you!!!!

I'd try experimenting with the amount. Tap off the excess, try dusting it on vs pressing with a small brush. Or if you're dusting, try pressing. A tiny tiny amount is all you need. It's very sheer. What concealer are you using? It may not be the powder for you...not everything works for everyone. I hope you can make it work though!

This powder made my under eyes look really dry no matter how much I tried. I really like the Givenchy setting powder as well as Huda Beauty. I use a super tiny blending brush just to lightly tap it only where the hollows are.

Thank you! I’m using the Tarte corrector and the Tower 28 serum concealer. I ttried different amounts of the powder but I think I just have too many under eye lines/wrinkles 😕I will try a mini Huda powder in Poundcake and see how I do - thank you!!! 🙏🏼

@@omhomelinI use the Tarte one as well because it's more hydrating. I have been using the tiniest amount of Kevyn Aucoin's concealer. I tried the Tower 28, but it made me crease a bunch. The Sigma E33 is really great for placing a very controlled amount on the skin. I hope that helps ❤️
