Steven was essentially highlighting the reality that people of colour are at times treated worse by police and although it sucks , it is prudent to keep that in mind and modify their reactions and attitude to ensure they stay alive to tell the tale. She was highlighting that in 2024 the police should be changing their attitudes and behaviour towards people of colour and that it shouldn't be the way it sometimes is. Both points are 100 percent correct, and both can be true at the same time. That's all.
