You seem to have gotten it all wrong, that’s not the point at all. He’s not knocking KD for joining Kyrie in the sense you’re referring, he’s not saying that he should’ve gone to a helpless team without other stars, never have, never did, what he’s saying is that he thinks that if the Nets don’t win a championship, people are going to knock KD for leaving Steph to go play with Kyrie, in the sense “if you would’ve stayed in GS, you would’ve won more championships”.
@scottipippen6554

Simple answer: yes:) To join a 73-9 team, that has already won, is simply weak. I understand, why he joined them. But if it is about legacy, you don`t join such a team as one of the best players of this decade. And then he goes to the Nets and lets Kyrie and James jon him? Same when Lebron went to Miami to join Dwane and Chris..

Him Kyrie and James are all grown men at the end of the day, and just because Kd is the leader doesn’t mean he’s the blame for not being able to control Kyrie. KD should not have left Golden State. That was the best situation for him because it allowed him to do what he says he wants and that is to just play. He does not want to have to lead in the sense of holding guys accountable from a team aspect or setting a standard as a culture. Because as confrontational as KD is on social media he does not seem to be as much with his team. The greatness people want from him, those intangibles seem to elude him. Winning with GS boosted his legacy yet those who held against him and the incident with Draymond Green irritated his fragility enough to make him leave the best situation of his career.

Agreed. KD really loves social media and is susceptible to taking Twitter comments to heart and way too personal. Which is strange to me because Twitter is such an impersonal platform. At least when Stephen A. makes his opinion known, it is on national television in a live format where you can hear his voice and see his body language . Regardless if you agree w/ Stephen A. or not, at least he is speaking out with his true voice. I heard KD might have his own podcast or video platform. I'd rather hear/watch him speak on on that type of platform, then on Twitter. There ain't no burner accounts when you're live on television or on the radio waves.

I think KP made the point a little better. If KD doesn't win with the Nets, then when looking at his legacy, it's going to be brought up that he won when joining a super team, but he couldn't win without that team. In OKC, he had all that talent and they made it to the Finals one time. Last year, the Nets didn't even make it to the conference finals and right now they are floundering with Kyrie playing part time and Harden looking beyond disinterested. KP pointed out Kobe was talked about in much the same way. It wasn't until he finally won without Shaq that the questions about how great he truly was ended. If KD never wins a title again, I don't think his legacy will be necessarily defined by this, but it will, rightly, be part of the conversation.
