Exactly! If it wasn't for sticking to that smallball line-up, and playing AD and Lebron at center. The Lakers would have probably won 10 more games, and had the 3rd or 4th seed. They would have played the Suns, Mavs, or the Clippers in the 1st round. Ham would probably kept his job. When your star player says he hates playing center, and he's a 6' 10" PF, believe him. AD knows he is more like a KAT, Giannis type player, and not a Embid, Joker type player. GO BIG! Get that man a center to play along side of him. Get him a Brook Lopez, or Gobert type player, and the Lakers will win a chip.

@joshuafoster79315 ай бұрын
@mikelmoon100 that's a moot point because it's illogical. Having great players does not imply the players made the decision to fire the coach. The Lakers front office publicly accepted that responsibility. Implying players salary holds them more accountable than the organization making 20x more than them is the narrative of a team owner and the media that works for them. You sir have no inside facts that LeBron or any player had anything to do with his firing and also offer no points that matter beyond the fact that it's a front office decision, ALWAYS. No matter the player or how big. No team would fire a coach that can help them win a chip. Trash coaches examples of being carried, David blatt; vogel; Brett brown; coaches who win despite talent : poppovich; spolestra; Tom tibedeau; there's a standard in the NBA. Just because you have a LeBron doesn't mean you can build a career on his back. You have to match his talent with leadership. Ham was trash from day one in my opinion. I didn't think he respected LeBron enough and he acted like bron was a regular guy on the team. His days wad numbered after that. You shouldn't coach a LeBron James if you don't think he's the greatest to do it. He's out. If you don't get along with LeBron something is wrong with you. He's the engine that leads to a chip. No ways around it.

Accountablility??? AD took that when he was hurt or injured or bad. He played amazing but so many plays were missed so many opportunities. Defense was weird af against denver 12 games inna row

Stephen A doesn’t know shit about basketball so not surprising he’d not be happy about the most logical coach firing in league history.

I agree w/ Mike Wilbon... run it back! They should have signed Dwight Howard😮💨

Having Shaq, Kobe And Dennis Rodman On The Same Team And Not Even Making It To The Finals Uhhh Of Course The Coach Is The Problem.

The NBA is a player's league. Darvin Ham isn't selling tickets, merchandise, ratings, and ads. No coach is doing any of that, so it's what the players want.

@chronicblast5505 No one ever said, "I wanna be like Phil." no matter how great of a coach he was.

Lakers & Cowboys Fans Are The Same , When They Loose It's The Head Coach Fault

Lebron and AD were absolutely not the problem in the series

I know he isn’t telling AD to hold accountability since he’s literally doing what he’s asked to do which is to defend and drop 30 which he’s done consistently this season

Every Lakers fan that watched all season knew that this was coming. From the ever changing rotations, questionable substitutions, and lack of awareness of in-game situations, I'm surprised that he lasted until the playoffs.

AD and LeBron both in Cancun the next day. No reservations needed. Half the NBA is down there. Its a big ole party. Lets drop this game and get down there.

So how is it the coach fault that the players get on the court and don't know what they're doing.And these are some of the most elite basketball players on earth

Darvin a good coach

Ham was minimum 75% of the problem, most of the rest was not having a back up center, no 2 way wing, and no physical players after LeBron and AD. Darvin Ham fucked around with the starting line up for 50 games! The Lakers win percentage once they correctly went with the continuity lineups had a .700 win percentage. If the coach didn't galaxy brain the season we wouldn't have played Denver in round one let alone blown 4 double digit leads and 5 9+ point leads. Especially after watching Minnesota game 1.

The lakers would still be playing if not for ham starting prince and playing him 35 min a night for the first 50 games. During that span rui DLo and AR were benched and played reduced minutes. Lakers literally were playing their worst lineups. Once the best lineup, which even a blind man could see, was allowed to start, the lakers went on a nice run at the end of the season
