James reminds me of my college ex... I consider her as two different people. The one that I clicked with on every level imaginable, and the one that went batshit crazy on me. One James is the MVP scorer with the potential to lead the Rockets to a title. The other James is the one that kicked CP3 out of town and then quit on the Rockets, and is now devaluing himself further with his behavior. The poster of James on my wall is the 1st James. I'll forever be a fan of him.

Chris Ryan on BS’s podcast this morning said something I also saw yesterday. Miami was crashing offensive boards hard in the 4th specifically because they knew even though we will give up transition baskets doing it, every offensive rebound they get will cause a flurry of boos from that trash-a** Philly crowd that will send the 76ers into a shame spiral. Which is exactly what happened. There is no home court advantage in Philly. Their fans are worse to their own team than opposing fans in away games.

Harden makes me think of Dennis Rodman. Offensively, Rod was the polar opposite. He might give you ZERO points on a given night...but give you 20 rebounds and take out the other team's best scorer. Rodman loved to party, just like Harden. Difference is, Rodman could stay out till 5 AM then come and give you max effort every single night. He never cheated the game. For 1/10th the salary Harden makes. The biggest problem here is money. This new generation of athlete get paid, and then feels they do not have to perform. They have made me staunchly pro-owner...and I hope the next CBA goes totally against the players.

James Harden's legacy is gonna be fascinating. I think a guy like Dame will be underrated after he retires, because he was a shining star of mediocre Portland teams, he'll be like our generation's Reggie Miller. James Harden, on the other, is a guy with really shiny numbers and some marquee moments, so he'll probably get overrated. But we who grew up watching him will remember how he quit, how he didn't show up in clutch games, and how he was a big time premadonna. Honestly someone should make a documentary on the KD-Russ-Harden trio in OKC. They literally had a dynasty right under their noses and I feel like the way everyone’s careers have panned out we’ve seen what we knew from the get go. KD is a clear number one option but needs the right supporting cast/pieces to take pressure off of him. Russ is absolutely fearless, wants me the moment but is too unga bunga to be anymore than a number 2. Harden has EXPLOSIVE scoring ability but he isn’t built for pressure or the big moments. He’ll always be that 3rd option/sixth man at heart. OKC had all the right pieces for a dynasty. All that young group needed was time to grow/gain some experience and blossom into the players they were going to be. A little disheartening that we’ve seen all 3 arrive but like separately from each other.
