What I've always hated about ESPN is that when there's a serious mismatch like Alabama vs. TCU their "analysts" and talking heads always pretend like the underdog has a chance. This was a game that had a hypothetical 17-point spread affixed to it going into the CFP. Georgia is superior to TCU at every single position. I think the only position you might say that TCU might have had a slight edge would be WR because of Johnston, but that's only at WR1; the rest of UGA's receivers are collectively better than he is. TCU was in wars with Oklahoma State and Baylor and was a TD underdog to Texas and only won that game because of how awful Quinn Ewers is. Anybody who thought TCU was going to keep this competitive was just "hoping for a good game" or was completely delusional.

UGA fan here. Watched game with 17 people here in Georgia. Early in the game, someone said "Just look at the size difference in those lines!" It was glaringly obvious that not only was there a size difference, there was an explosive difference, a talent difference. It was like varsity versus JV. No contest. We just knew, it slapped you in the face, that UGA was going to dominate the line of scrimmage all night. When we saw the look in Stetson's eyes, we knew he was going full hyperfocus clutch mode, just a follow up to the last 10 min against Ohio State. When TCU had their one moment of shining glory to make it 10-7, not a soul in that room seemed concerned, we just went right on drinking beer and eating pizza without a care in the world. We knew. Anyone with eyes and a brain knew.

When Ga. was up 10-0 and TCU scored I thought, OK, wait a minute, we may have something here. But when Ga. just ran it right back down the field I thought, Nah, this is not going to go TCU's way. On the first series when you saw the size difference between the players it became obvious real quick that the only advantage TCU might have is speed...but Ga. recruits speed, and so you knew that angle wasn't going to work either. What we saw was a repeat of the Oregon game to bookend the season. These are the good old days. Enjoy them.

People just don’t want to accept the fact is that the SEC is a tougher conference . It should’ve been Alabama in the top four. When Kansas State beat TCU and Alabama came back around and blew them out, I knew that Georgia was going to destroy them. That may be true. Georgia has broken a few teams mentally over the last few years like Alabama used to do, especially the Georgia defense in 2021. Clemson specifically has never been the same after the pressure the D-line put on the Clemson QB in 2021. I don't think Clemson has ever recovered from that, even though the score of the game was close. They just don't play with the same confidence anymore.

This delusion of a 12 team playoff increasing parity is ridiculous, it just favors the elite schools. Depth means everything in playoffs and there just aren't enough NFL caliber players to go around. This is football, the team with the most talent and depth wins 75% of the time. You're getting just going to make smaller programs (Utah) play the likes of Kansas State, get banged up to play Alabama/LSU/UGA/Ohio State with a depleted roster AND if they manage to win that their reward is getting to play another Alabama/LSU/UGA/Ohio State in a semifinal. You won't be competing for a national title elsewhere; you'll just be able to say you made round 1 or 2 of the CFP.
