It isn't insane to pick Carr over Wilson. I think people just aren't familiar with Carr. Carrs arm talent and decision making is as good as gets. The problem is the Raiders organization has been terrible. Russel was drafted to a great organization that protected him with a great defense and line. Carr was thrown in the fire to shitty organization with no defense and extremely average receivers. Despite all that Carr is eating every year. If you put Carr on Seattle I think he would have more succes than Russ.

i'm from seattle. I was at the game sunday vs the titans. Russ is officially frustrating me. We were up 2 possessions and Russ with the playcalling still tried to pass the ball instead of running and milking that clock, keeping the ball out of henry's hands. Russ is all world talented, but my QB definitely tries to prove way too much to nobody instead of just doing what he needs to do to secure wins. Dominate the game early, then manage the clock. He always seems to forget that second part.
