My 2 favorite people in the entire Country. They both are leaders within, and are common grounds for making us to be the best at what we do. Former President Obama, is what history lessons in school taught me to model after in the early 60's.. All the things I wanted to be he is. I know God is first, but as a leader in this country he was first. Stephen Curry melts my heart as an elder, and Minister of the gospel. First a loving husband and father. Thank you for this video Stephen. I respect Mr. President because he has always measured his words so that he says exactly what he means and he means what he says. And after hearing a number of political figures speak I learned that being mindful of what a person says is much more important than them saying what I want to hear. Call it energy, morality, character, call it whatever you’d like but this is exactly the type of simple wisdom that we need more of in our society, especially today. It’s been 4 years since Barack Obama left office, and not once during that time period did I feel life be placed in such proper context as I did watching this video. This dude, who was once the most powerful man in the world, literally said “my room was above the shop so I didn’t have to worry about the commute” regarding his time in the White House, said that his work was “public service”, and spoke openly and honestly about his own life, be it his relationship with his wife, his daughters, or his co-workers and employees. There’s so much honor in taking such a grounded perspective, in having a willful mind to match a hopeful heart, that I will never have anything but love, admiration and respect for Barack Obama and for anybody who aspires to such a standard of character for their own selves as well. I only hope that Joe Biden and any of our other future leaders of this nation will take the same stance, to be thoughtful and truthful and accountable and generous and compassionate, even when shouldering the burden of a job too big for any one man to perfectly handle. Thank you for sharing Steph, and for delivering on a great interview. And thank you Barack, for being the leader that we need in uncertain times such as these.
