Stephen Curry was the more important piece, Semi final and Final was the most important play of the Olympic and it was all Curry. Curry must won the MVP.

International basketball MVP voting isn’t just the finals. It’s the group phase as well. So, Lebron was the most consistent player, the 4th to ever post a triple double at the Olympics.. while curry went insane during the final two games, he also got 29 points in the first 4 games…. On terrible shooting. Lebron was the facilitator for the team and made everyone a threat (not hard with the stacked team) but he’s done it his whole career. Curry is all about off ball movement or 2 man actions on screens. Lebron is a natural playmaker.there’s a reason Lebron posted near 16 - 7- 7 splits the playoffs. Curry looked like 15-1-2 splits.

Ok, people need to stop saying Steph struggled during the first 4 games. He was always in + of the +/- Steph was literally running routes to get guys open. Did he miss open shots? Sure. But his directives were to keep the defense focused on him. He was running around dragging multiple defenders. People would dunk off of that play, but no credit. Kinda like how Durant won 2 finals MVP because people (LeBron) would rather go guard Curry in the corner while ignoring a barreling Durant with the ball.
@FloydHarvey-f6l2 ай бұрын
lol you say that yet he had only five assists on 13 shots? No that wasn't his directive. He is their SHOOTER! His directive is using his strength SCORING. He's not an all around player and gave up shots. Bron played both sides of the ball. Now concerning the GSW finals where kd carried the whole team. The stats speaks for themselves. No KD no championship Lebron was a force and had a legendary season that got eclipsed because Steve Kurr built a team to stop ONE MAN. The scariest part is when looking over the finals it's not even just that the Warriors lose without KD they didn't stand a chance.

@@FloydHarvey-f6l Creating open spaces and directing off ball traffic was Steph's job. Great Video! I recently did a video like this with Steph Curry. He's definitely the best shooter I've ever seen.

So the oldest players is the MVP? LMAO. I guess basketball isnt what it used to be.

LeBron is just that good. Literally every stat is better than everyone beside points and even then only a little less.

Steph is my favorite player of all time but I beg to differ... LeBron has made play in the tournament which brought USA back to the game... However i do agree, if it would not have been for Steph's contribution in thr semis and finals they wouldn't have won... But lebron brought USA back into thr game in suc crucial moments when they most needed
@markmaruz30032 ай бұрын
They called it tournament mvp not 2 game mvp.. lebron derserved it
@jadedragon55412 ай бұрын
if voting before the semis were true, then Nikola Jokic is your mvp.
@MrZrazies2 ай бұрын
Honestly i wasn’t surprised that lebron is mvp. Any team lebron is in. He’s mvp. Nobody else. Thats how it is. Sadly. Im surprised some of people are surprised.
@hashmoncrief69652 ай бұрын
What are you talking about, just because LeBron was on the team he gets the mvp, because that's how the commissioner of the NBA and referees, and the voting goes for LeBron James, just like it did for Jordan, especially when they didn't deserve it, and everybody's going to hate this, just like Kobe Bryant he should have got at least three more mvps, before he even retired, but the commissioner and the sports analyst and pretty much 90% of fans are just jealous of Kobe Bryant's greatness.

Lefraud is the most inconsequential player in all of sports. His teams do better when he's not on the floor. USA won gold in spite of him

They do anything to help bron look good been like that for years they want him to be better than mj or Kobe bad

Steph was "cold" for the first 4 games, but for the last 2 he dug USA out of the holes that Bron and his fellow "bigs" allowed Serbia and France to put them in via lackluster D.

Congrats to Team USA!

you watch mj at 29, you can't appreciate his play at OLympic, watch Lebron at 39, wow,! dunks, assists , shotblocks ,driving to the baskets, defense using his body against bigger players, LBJ plays in excellent in leadership. he can actually able to make his teammates succeeds, why because lebron plays unselfishly, lebron make it sure that his teammates will shoot unlike mj he shoots all the time, that is why LBJ the GOAT.the only tripple doubles in NBA, 40kpoint, 12k reb, 10k assists..
@alasdairmacdonald98382 ай бұрын
In short no he shouldn't. I'm much more a fan of Steph than Bron so if the evidence were truly there I'd say give it to Steph in a heartbeat. But objectively Bron was the MVP over the course of all the games the team played. He was the leader and the person everyone looked to. Where it just about the final game that would be different. Steph had great performances in the most important games but that's not the criteria. Steph was pretty average to bad for all but the final 2 games. All these hype videos for Steph and Bron etc around this Olympic experience ignore the fact that they both benefited from playing with a stupidly stacked team of all time great players. Things will look different for them both when the go back to Donkey, Loon, Rui and D'Angelo.

When the staunchest LeBron James meat rider, in Nick Wright, says the MVP should have been shared, then you know Steph was robbed.

If it's all games including showcase it's Steph. If it's the 6 tournament games still Steph. If it only the first 4 and not counting the medal games it's still not lebronze.

LeBron was overall the better player in the tournament and may be more important the leader of the team I think his numbers could have been replaceable with Tatum and they could have called on Jaylen Brown I don't see any one making up for his leadership, with Curry being a different kind of leader Still, I'd say that USA would reach the semifinals even without LeBron And Curry was the most valuable player in both the semis and finals (here I mean actually most valuable, "MVP" is a different matter In the end, going by the definition of "the best player the whole tournament", it is LeBron but if it was "player you need the most to win gold" that would be Curry
@SwishCulture2 ай бұрын
LeBron was more consistent for sure. Doesn't exactly move the needle much, but provided the glue for the team. With Curry playing the way he was, it's hard to see them not winning regardless of who else was on the team.

It wasn't Finals MVP, it was the MVP of all Olympics games which was clearly Lebron
@remnant88982 ай бұрын
How're you deserving of an MVP for playing preliminary games? There wasn't one game played that Bron was the best player in that game.
@phillipparedes64442 ай бұрын
@remnant8898 exactly.. when your team is blowing out other teams by 20 there wasn't any dominating factor needed for those games.

A lot of ppl mad that LeBron is still the best player on a team with Steph and KD on it. They wanted Curry to be MVP so they can say "Curry is the MVP he carried LeBron" but the reality is LeBron was Batman and Curry was Robin.
