That’s shooting 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from three, and 90 percent from the free-throw line in a single season. Curry has done it once in his career. It’s not as rare as people will have you believe. Kyrie Irving did it last season. Kevin Durant did it once. Larry Bird did it twice. And Steve Nash, the back-to-back NBA MVP, did it four times in his career.

That doesn’t mean field goal or free throw even though he is the greatest free throw shooter of all time. Curry has much more volume shooting in comparison to someone like Kyrie. Kyrie doesn’t just throw up 14 threes a game and still shoot 50% consistently form three through a whole season. Same applies with Nash,Larry and KD. We are talking about pure shooting not overall scoring. No one has had this great of an impact on one aspect of the game than Steph curry. Imagine an aging Curry in the role that Craig Hodges and Steve Kerr played alongside Jordan, and Steve Kerr played alongside Duncan-- but with more touches. Or the role Ray Allen played on the Heat.

Compared with Ray Allen's 1,300 games to achieve 2,973 3s and Steph Curry exceeded it in just 789 games and assuming Steph will continue to play in the next at least 200 more games and even assuming a minimum average of 5 3s per game, then he will easily achieve 3,977 3s and that will now be a difficult figure for the next player to beat him. I don't think it's easy to beat his achievement in 3 points production in the future. Go Steph Curry go!
