You probably don’t have any idea what it takes to be a stand up comedian, let alone a songwriter at that. I have tried and failed, and also lost a lot of family in the process… they mostly just died of cancer but they passed without any approval and that hurts. “Hey what are your talents that you can build a career around?” “Well I tell funny jokes sometimes” doesn’t sound promising to the older generations. Their loss, not mine… right?
