It's actually pretty safe here. Trump is our president, and terrorism does happen, but ultimately, life moves on for the vast majority of the population. Also, while there are hate groups that exist and are allowed exist, actual violence breaking out randomly is extremely rare outside of protests where opposition occurs (either by opposing protests or the police). The American people are very diverse and generally welcoming, especially around cities.

Unfortunately it can take a long time. One needs to prove he's unfit for office. I mean, one would think that given his erratic and idiotic behavior they'd be able to order a psych eval, which would show he's not fit to run a country, and then he'd be forced out of office. But no. Things move quite slowly. We are defending people that simply want to say what is on their mind. It's barbaric to hurt others unless they attack first.
