I have been a life-long fan of this man and this musical, and find myself singing aloud the songs at the grocery store or anywhere I am. By My Side is my favorite, closely followed by On The Willows.

I'll sing the tenor 3rd harmony back up for "On the Willows" with you brother 😃☺️🙂 Now all we need is a bass or baritone for the lower fifth. I protested that on the second night of the production that an all male version of "On the Willows" should be performed. The ladies weren't that fond of the idea but we needed to have that same type of version in the original album recording of Godspell where the band itself sang the parts.

He was the right choice to compose the score. Schwartz is a musical genius. I have been in productions of Children of Eden and Godspell and have just started rehearsals for another Godspell production. The soundtrack is amazing!

My mom was in her high school's production of Godspell, way back in the late 70's. Then, last year, I got to be in my high school's production of Children of Eden, another one of Schwartz's shows.

This musical changed my life. I was a teenager, already following Jesus, but my relationship and "falling in love" with Jesus started when I heard the music from Godspell.

Amazing not being allowed into church because of how he looks. Not a surprise. Thank you Jesus for not ever seeing us from our outward appearance. Godspell is an awesomely biblical musical that has stood the test of time.

I have seen Godspell at least 20times at different play houses and schools . Watch the Movie every year at Easter. My son played Jesus in High school at St Patrick's school in the 1980s It is one of my favorite (top 5) Always think it was quite prophetic that in the movie Jesus song was performed on top of the World Trade center. (THIS NATION THIS GENERATION WILL BEAR THE GUILT OF IT ALL)🎶 Powerful Musical way bigger than its presentation 🙏🕊
