When I heard this song on Billions I was less focused on the dialogues (no disrespect to the scene. It was awesome) and more focused on the lyrics of the song so that I can search the song and listen to it. What an absolute masterpiece!

I know how you feel. I was a horse here in my town. I worked hard at being fit in my daily job as a logger and lumber mill owner and some say that I was the strongest person they ever knew. I sure do miss them days now at 70 yrs old. Sometimes it gets very hard to go on.

Fentanyl really messed me up, here I am, the day after my birthday I started to fill sick to my stomach about me being in this situation for so long. I can’t get over how good of a songwriter this man is. I feel like he was a fly on the wall in every aspect of my life and just decided to write about it. I sure I’m not the only one that can relate like this. A very profound writer who encapsulates how we grew up. He’s definitely my new favorite by a long shot. People that say people don’t write good music anymore just hasn’t heard this man yet.

This guy is steady growing on my musical soul. First song I heard was 🌜🌜1994🌛🌛 I think it's called and I've never related more to a song than that one. I was supposed to graduate in 94/95 got GED in 96 anyways that was the absolute hands down best time of my life and that song took me right back to that sacred and beloved era. The other 2 or 3 songs I've heard of his have been awesome also I'm looking forward to checking all of this guys music out. I grew up in WV in the '90s and '00s and fell out of the country genre long before my mid to late teenage years due to a lack of heavy hitting emotionally driven lyrics and composition.
