Well the actor who plays Ken Barlow in Coronation Street has been in the role since Episode 1 - 58 years ago. I can understand how easy it would be being in the same role for a few decades - it's a stable job and it means you don't need to try audition for other roles so often.

The actor Kieron Richardson is a gay man and it took him a while to come to terms with it, which is fair enough. He should be celebrated for coming out. Idk why his HO character had to change so drastically to reflect that reality, though. It's a fictional show, so why can't a gay male actor play a straight or even bi character? Kieron is very talented and completely conveyed Ste's feelings & desire for Amy as realistic, so I don't see why he couldn't keep doing that. Acting is a job, real-life sexuality shouldn't factor in.
