One of the things I like about this channel is Stephen Hendry's ability to get some of the best snooker players in the world to appear on it. They seem to really be relaxed, and willing to share stories, and tips. No doubt that's due to the host's own reputation, as the guests must be in a sort of awe themselves at being there. I always seem to watch the entire episode.

As a kid growing up in Scotland to see a fellow Scot being the greatest in the world at something was amazing, Hendry was an absolute hero to me and my brother along with many of my pals. I would dearly, dearly love to see him return to a little bit of form, even for one tournament, it must still be in there, you cant lose that quality, just got to get the confidence back.

20:34 Judd’s snort! Thank you for this video. For whatever reason, I’ve never really liked Judd, but - for me - this episode helped me see him as a person. And by doing that, you’re making it much more enjoyable for me to watch his matches in the future. Also: God bless Trump for not stopping play while he talks! That’s been driving me crazy in some of the other episodes. Cheers!

I was 12 in 2011, grew up in a houshold with a snooker-mad dad, but could never understand how someone could sit down and watch this bore of a game. Accidentally found myself watching 5 minutes of one of Judd's breaks against John in the morning session of the world final, and I have been hooked since. The dodgy highlights, John Virgo in awe and the banana shots, iconic snooker!

What Judd is talking about is if you watch him and the camera is dead on the pocket of his shot, he aims literally so for to our left (his right) that he is sometimes looking like he is even gonna miss the object ball completely, but just at the last second of his push forward he straightens it up and hits a pearler.. I noticed it years back but never thought it would be commented on as much as it is. Fascinating!

It's absolutely fascinating how great Hendry is at commentating, interviewing etc! He is such a natural people person! He has always been my favourite player and he is definitely my favourite interviewer now too. Ever since those videos he made during covid two with Ronnie and also Mark Williams etc he has just got better and better. I was baffled at first because of how closed off and withdrawn he was as a player but through these interviews have understood he consciously stayed distant, serious, emotionless as a player in order to maximise success and it was inspired by his hero Steve Davis! I think now we're seeing his natural personality shine through. He seems to have the genuine respect of all the players he interviews and manages to bring out the best from whoever he talks to. His two interviews with Ronnie during lock down are brilliant. It was amazing to see how much respect and time they have for each other considering they were huge rivals.

I love these interview style videos and cant wait to see who you have on next. It really helps engage with the players as so many don't interview well in and around tournaments for obvious and understandable reasons, but here you get much more of an idea of their personalities. I did have to laugh at Judd's logic about the chalk though, technology in sport moves on and its great to see this happening (in a very minor way) in snooker. I get annoyed about the old chalk just in the club when I uncover my selected table and the chalk dust hits me.
