I think Martinez illustrates the problems. When we have a full, fit team ten Hag will do well, because he thrives on creating and implementing long term plans and training strategies. His weakness is when he has to come up with something at short notice because of fast rotation of available players due to injury. Martinez is one of best players, but he also has a terrible record for injury having played fewere games over his two years at the club than he has missed through injury. We can't engage in wishful thinking that he'll be available for the majority of next season, because reality suggests he won't.

When you look at the hipster Arteta you saw how much they milked not having Saliba most of the critical part of last season, this season proved they were some what right considering their record with him fit. ETH has had Rashford, Hojlund (his NEW SIGNING) Mainoo injured early in the season as well as Casemiro and Martinez our 2nd and 3rd best players of the season injured for Looooong stretches, Malacia Incognito. Lindeloff, Varane, Evans. We need to be fair, bearing in mind due to Europa last season our team was Jaded from last season playing All those games in Europa, Carabao and FA Cup. Ppl forget that. ETH has to stay!!!!!! Best manager in the league. Absolute shit show of a season with all that pressure and he still brings us out to be most competitive. Back that man ETH with proper recruitment structure and get the divas out and watch our club dominate this league.

Metatarsal last season made him miss the last 12 games, foot, knee and calf injuries this season made him miss 36 games. Once a metatarsal goes once, it's amatter of WHEN not IF it goes again... And if "as long as he's not as bad as Martial that's OK" is the benchmark for reliability that's great, but don't expect the club to do well in the league.

I love Ten Hag and I know the problems we had with attitudes and injury but watching us give up like 30 shots to teams like Fulham - when our backups are still better than their starters - was brutal and unacceptable. All we can do at this point is trust INEOS to make the right decision.

Most of us are too young to remember or even be born for the FA cup that saved Ferguson. And do not know what that feeling was like. The way I feel today after that result I can only imagine is similar. I hope this saves Eric and we see a similar tenure from him. Now obviously he won't have the longevity but perhaps may have a lot of the success.
