THIS is how pedals should be reviewed! Yeah, guitars are nice but the fact that you displayed what the Deco could do on multiple sources is really the way to do this! Nice tune btw.

Tight video man! I've been wondering if this pedal would be the one stop shop for live/reamp tape sat/wobble on multiple sources and you've proven to me that this may need to be added to the collection!! Song is really great and has a timeless sound to it. Keep it up man! Subbed!

Best review I’ve seen. I could smell what was cooking as you walked through the individual parts… but wasn’t expecting the full production to be so good! You’ve got a subscriber here. Also picking up a Deco asap!

Really cool. Here's a question. What is up with the price of analog synths? I have an 80s roland that I bought, completely rebuilt, it is worth five times what I paid for it? Now I understand economics but if they are worth so much why doesn't roland or whoever reissue these modles?
@austinadams94642 жыл бұрын
it costs a lot of money to produce analogue synths of those quality, so Roland specifically is opting for digital versions of those vintage analogue synths, much to the dismay of synth enthusiasts themselves. Behringer is doing what you're suggesting though, if you're okay with a marginal difference in sound but substantial difference in build quality.

Excellent video! I love my Strymon Deco. Did you run the effects through the send/return of your board or the digital world equivalent. Also saw your Acid Box III video as well, and it inspired me to put my Waldorf 2 Pole in my effects chain on my 2404VLZ 4!

Great demo! IMHO, in context of the 1080p audio quality of YT, the Deco doesn't seem to significantly lower the presence, clarity, natural snoothness, or fidelity of the raw tone from any instrument. Furthernore, it doesn't appear to impose a 'Strymon flavour' to every instrument, which is appreciated & enhances its versatility. 👍👍 Also, I enuoyed your very well-written, catchy, pro-recorded & radio-friendly pop song! Kudos! 👍👍

I actually just purchased the Deco yesterday and waiting for it to arrive. After listening to your sounds, I'm excited. Do you think it can handle being in a stereo bus and applying to a final mix? I know you show it applied to everything, but Im wondering in a live performance if it could work as a last piece or where in the overall mix you would put it? Well done!
@GustavSandstedt3 жыл бұрын
Did it work applied on a final mix? 😁
@blindianajones3 жыл бұрын
@@GustavSandstedt Funny you should ask now. I actually had to send the Deco to Strymon to fix an issue with the power. I am using it now with guitar. Have not tried it yet on an entire mix.
@blindianajones2 жыл бұрын
@@GustavSandstedt Thought Id share an update. Im using the Deco on my pedalboard and so far have only played an electric guitar. Im not sure this pedal is worth 300 bucks. IT does some volume / saturation boost and it does the doubling / delay thing too. But, for an overall mix, I prefer my JHS Colour Box at the end. I get the boost if needed and I get EQ controls. Deco is just an effect with no eq. If you are recording to a DAW, the Deco kind of makes no sense. But then again, neither would a bunch of EQ. For live use, Id rather have the flexibility of an EQ to make my sounds work with the room.
