That’s a great project. I wish my welds looked that good. It would look good in fire engine red with a siren- kids would love it
@StephenOgle4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Frank. I am going to paint it red. How did you know? At least the stand and framework. The Smoker and Fire box will be satin black. Take care and thank you sir.

I predict number nine will be a smoke show. You must know you have a great carnival/fair/poker run portable restaurant. Praying for a trailer in your future.

Love your project! Not being critical, but I would have put two small air intakes in the bottom of the door on the firebox instead of one large one. The large one is way more than you need and when it is only slightly cracked open it will be drawing air in the middle of the firebox. Since hot air rises you need the air intake down low so the air will draw across your wood/coals as it heads to the firebox exit. If air comes in the middle of the firebox it will be above your fuel source and have to fight its way down to the fuel before coming back up to the exit? Hope this makes sense. If you have cooked on it maybe you took notice of this. Would be easy to modify the firebox door. Nice setup!

Steve, I think I would really put like Lawn Mower tires on there I believe you'd be happy with those and would serve you better and also moving it around in that soft ground. Really loving how that's turning out a great job.
@StephenOgle4 жыл бұрын
Thank you James. I just removed the old turf saver tires and went with these more aggressive ones because my yard has very steep inclines and can not climb without these tires. I just have to be very careful not to damage the yard. Thank you for commenting.
@jameskoehn43314 жыл бұрын
@@StephenOgle I just thought about what you said, And if I have it right you are thinking I'm talking about the Lawn Mower that's not the case I was referring to the tires on the smoker. To keep from digging into the mud. That's what I was looking at.

Well, I have not checked on your videos for a while and It looks like you are giving up woodturning and getting into the Smoaker/BBQ business! That is one heck of a nice smoker! When are you opening the Restraunt?
@StephenOgle4 жыл бұрын
Great to here from you John. Not giving up turning. Just expanding my horizons a little. This smoker has been a great project and I can't wait to get some BBQ on it. However, Patients is a virtue and I am not going to use is before it is ready. Oh yeah, I"m not smart enough to open a restaurant. LOL. Tell the family hello for me and take care my friend.

Thank you Frank and to answer your question directly. Absolutely not. I love woodturning and will never give it up. I just want to expand my skills and maybe learn a few new tricks too. I will still have turning videos coming. Thank you for asking.
