I have a brother 12 years older than me who was a biker and had the soundtrack lp. I avoided this film as I had a preconception of it being some sort of macho biker flick, which is not my thing at all. How wrong I was. I sat in silence in the dark for an hour after watching this.

I'm from Detroit (blow the reveille)! *This is one of the all-time great songs!* And, for so many different reasons. *1985:* Porland, Ore-State Theater: We had endured a horrible (fake) Guess Who set, and a surprisingly good Steppenwolf set. It didn't look like they would do an encore. So we (& many others) started to split. Then: *THOSE 1ST CHORDS* of 'The Pusher'! Everybody spun around & rushed the stage! I think we all kinda forgot about this timeless classic. Yea, Hoyt Axton created it. But this arrangement: one sleazy chord/all flats'n sharps (real _'early-Lou-Reed'_ ) is the product of Mars Bonfire. For a guy who was never actually IN the band, he sure got 'em started. - Dave B.

Pretty sure it was my brothers 69 Road Runner, as I sat in front seat at 6 years old, while he sat in the back with his girlfriend at the drive in. I tried to watch the movie but things were more interesting in the back...until I got slapped upside the head really hard. Then I watched the movie.
