I feel the biggest factor is that Steppenwolf couldn't even hurt Superman while doomsday could. I feel like that's a way more legit reasoning than wonder woman vaguely saying Steppenwolf is the strongest she's faced. That just feels like movie jargon to Hype up Steppenwolf. And if steppenwolf happens to cut of doomsdays arm with his axe. Doomsday will just grow another arm with an axe end. And the weapons which comes out of doomsdays hands are strong enough to cut through superman. Steppenwolf also has no awnser to doomsday abilities such as flight and heat vision. Also aquamans trident was able to cut through steppenwolf. And aquamans trident was destroyed by ocean master.

I think that, power wise, they are similar. But while Doomsday is a beast, Steppenwolf is a trained warrior with extremely powerful equipment. Wonder Woman actually hit him several times when they fought, but his armor managed to protect him from her sword; Doomsday, however, took the hit directly and lost an arm. It was only when Superman managed to strip Steppenwolf of his armor with heat vision and a tremendous beating that Wonder Woman and Aquaman managed to hurt him with their weapons. That said, Doomsday's whole thing is that he gets stronger the more he fights. Each injury actually gives him more power, mutates him into something more fearsome. So eventually, he might become unbeatable, unless they use stuff like kryptonite to kill him.

I actually think Doomsday takes this. I mean Stepphenwolf couldn't even hurt Superman at all; His axe did nothing to him and superman broke it easily. It was complete domination by superman. While Doomsday actually could hurt and even "killed" Superman. So yea i think that says it all. Plus this doomsday is kryptonian so his defense should be the same as or higher than supermans.

I and Danco think the pre-resurrection superman that fought and died against doomsday was heavily injured and weakened, he previously inhaled two times kryptonite, was beat up by batman and was hit by an atomic bomb. On the contrary, the post-resurrection superman that bitchslapped steppenwolf all the way through was juiced up by a mother box and more sunlight with the dark suit. Even though i also think that doomsday win, honestly this could go either way, steppenwolf now proved to be more than a worthy opponent.

@@trillsam7726 well by being already initially stronger compared to Doomsday. See the only being killed by kryptonite is a miss conception with kryptonian based beings. It’s more of a method for less powerful beings to kill them, but when it comes to being around the same power level they can be killed. So the same way you would kill Doomsday with the spear just using something else that can pierce his skin and get to his heart. Which would be uncommon for earthly weapons can’t really deal with Kryptonians but see Steppenwolf is something called a new god so his weapon of the Axe should be able to pierce Doomsday the same as Diana’s sword and just needs to create an opening to rip out his heart himself since that was the only thing so far shown to be able to kill him is the complete destruction of a vital organ, same with probably cutting off his head would likely work as well for something he can’t regenerate from even though it’s not tested. I mean it’s weird that the Axe wouldn’t have still pierced Superman because it is a new god weapon so it should’ve pierced him the same way Diana’s sword as a goodly weapon should pierce him but I guess that’s just a testament to how much stronger he got absorbing the sun with the black suit. With Steppen Wolf being superior at the beginning of the fight and having faced a Doomsday type creature before would have an advantage of knowing how they get harder to kill over time would likely go for the kill much faster knowing they can’t let the fight go on for too long.

This Doomsday wouldn’t be able to probably even Beat Superman alone at the end of Justice League with his power up so I don’t think anyone would get killed by that Doomsday. For a Kryptonian creature it was a lot slower unable to get Batman at moments so wouldn’t be able to touch the Flash, I mean I could see Cyborg getting mangled if he got caught but could also see him fighting much more from the outside, I mean that Doomsday didn’t scale too much higher than Wonderwoman in that fight where she could put up a fight by herself that her and Arthur would probably stand a pretty good chance versus that Doomsday. Steppenwolf from his movie was able to put up a fight vs a bunch of Amazons, Mera and some Atlantans Arthur, and Diana and Cyborg. I mean so fat in the DCEU Steppenwolf scales higher. I’m pretty sure that Doomsday in the comics was even able to beat on Darkseid a bit but again that Doomsday in BvS wasn’t really close to that level yet. And by how it was described might not even be the strongest Doomsday in that universe were the one on Krypton was probably a bit Stronger where Steppenwolf survived fighting through the moon with it. I mean it would make sense you’d think a Doomsday on Earth would be stronger you’d think but you never know how long that Doomsday was around and how many fights it could’ve powered up from.

Good point the 2 Kryptonite Grenades, then a nuke, then have to carry a kryptonite spear, as for Steppen'swolf Ax, I don't know if it has any magical properties. However, since Superman was amped his invulnerability, most likely is also amped which means unless it's magic or kryptonite, all other metal may not be able to cut through him. A good example is when Batman was punching Superman after he got weakened with Kryptonite, then as Superman regains his powers, Batman's punch stopped affecting him to the point that he punched Supes and Batman's iron fist only dented itself. I imagine that is what happened with Steppenwolf since Steppenwolf didn't have enough strength to actually cut through Supes invulnerability. But since Steppenwolf and Doomsday are on the part then may actually be able to cut through Doomsday invulnerability.
