Right. It’s almost normalized. It’s sad. And then it gets dressed up and religious-ified and we talk about the strength of the women and how God worked on her heart and the man’s “brokenness” etc etc. I do appreciate the honesty of the couples, it’s a very personal encounter that they didn’t have to share.

So disheartening to hear your story. Many of us have been exactly where you are and now we have peace. I filed for divorce myself, for $185. This was in 2007, so cost was probably a lot lower for a Paralegal. I found a local Paralegal, paid her fee, and she filed the paperwork. My divorce was uncontested, which made the process easier. I kept custody of our daughter, with my ex in agreement and we decided on an amount for child support together. Thankfully I married a man that understood our daughter was priority. Maybe this route could work for you.

Didn’t you know that, the ultimate demonstration of gods grace to us is when a spouse stays with us after infidelity. The ultimate demonstration of reaching a high spiritual plain is when you’re so in tuned with God that you listen when he tells you to love your husband through infidelity (because very rarely do you see men saying God told them to stay). That’s when we know he’s really worked on us, transformed our hearts . That’s the sign of a good Christian woman.
@hymnodyhands2 жыл бұрын
@@iriemo721 No. That is utterly blasphemous. The ideal for a Godly wife is defined in Proverbs 31, Ephesians 5, and I Peter 2 -- and in NO CASE does that ideal exist in the presence of a covenant breaking husband who is an adulterer. NEVER. A Christian woman does not prove her goodness by taking back a cheating spouse; her goodness comes from Christ, Who permits her a CHOICE. She can give the man the OPTION of renewing the covenant or not, because as far as God is concerned, that cheating man is either as good as dead (Old Testament, literally) or worse than an infidel joining the body that belongs to Christ to a harlot (New Testament). This is not even counting the cheating husband being so carried away by his evil that he could bring home an STD that could kill both him and his wife -- his INNOCENT wife. The ultimate demonstration of God's grace to us is known: Christ gave HIS life. The second greatest is ordered for MEN to perform in Ephesians 5:25, to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her. No wife is ordered to submit to a man denying his responsibility through cheating; he is not "as unto the Lord" in that state!

My question for Rodney would have been is it that your wife treated you disrespectfully and ignored you or did you just feel that way and leaned into those emotions rather than getting actual facts from your wife? Because As the beautiful and brilliant Tabitha Brown says sometimes we fight over what we don't hear & think we hear someone say rather than what's actually said! It's crazy how that works and it takes support, education and development and a great therapist to help you on your road to wholeness That's a big job that you cannot do on your own!

Why do we find all of these revelations during a marriage???!!! Many would rather mess up other folks lives during their transitions to find happiness or come to reality.

I think what a lot of people forget, is that WE all are capable of sinning, we, those that are saved are sinners under grace. As someone who is going through this issur right now, wanted to find a video that talked about God's truths(His Word), grace, forgiveness and restoration. The "patterns" that people speak of truly is a record of wrongs that we keep(and shouldn't), sometimes, and that does not represent the Agape love that most of us struggle to walk in. Does that mean I have to stay in my marriage, no, but I want God's will more than I want man's opinion. Because opinions mean NOTHING in the Kingdom of God. And God's will, will cost me, ME! But if we truly are serviing God, it's supposed to be for HIS glory, not mine, not the women on the platform. The women who stayed in their marriages, allowed God to use them for His glory so that the men, can then be healed and give glory to God. LOVE, God's Love, does heal, restore and renew. Regardless if you stay in a broken marriage or not. And I am speaking from current, very curent experiences. Blessings!!!

That's fine if that's how you choose to navigate your life and relationship. HOWEVER we cannot put our choices on God. God of the Bible mandated that adultery is grounds for divorce in his eyes. Dosent mean you have to but it is grounds in his eyes. He never instructed the faithful partner to stick it out to heal the unfaithful one, sacrifice themselves, or show Agape love by staying with a cheater. Again, if a couple is able to reconcile that's great but just know it's a choice you're making not a command from God, and he is as interested in your well being as much as his.❤️

@Nnena thank you for your response. Christ paid the ultimate sacrifice for us all, but to be like him is to sometimes go through the same suffering and more. Those that sin are committing adultery with God everyday. Because He sees us all, that believe, as His bride. But because of grace He keeps taking us back. So yes there are times we will have to sacrifice for the sake of advancing the kingdom of God. We turn to God, well should, when our choices are outside of His will and repent. Does that mean they(I) should stay, only God knows and it requires a true and yielded heart to know that truth and hear it. There are many who sacrificed their will to God's will. The book of Hosea is a great example. David... so many more. Our logical, finite minds will never want to understand God's will because it's hostile towards him, especially during betrayal. So we renew it in His word. That's why it's hard for many of us to comprehend this kind of obedience to the pain these women,(I've) suffered. But for God to get the glory out of my life, then so be it! Opinions don't matter in the Kingdom, beautiful.🥰 Many blessings to you and thank you for sharing your thoughts. 🥰

@DebC Well said. I pray God guides you and heals your heart as you go through this very present ordeal. I pray your husband does the work and heal. I pray he truly becomes who God has called him to be. I pray he forgives himself, begins to honor himself, honors our Lord and Savior, and you will be blessed by the overflow. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

@@nnena3631 God does command us to forgive though and for some it is possible in these situations and others it is not. But ultimately God permitted divorce due to sexual immorality but it was due to the "hardening of our hearts" in which we do not want to forgive. A lot of times there are things we don't want to do or say we will never do and it may be the complete opposite when we actually have to go experience it
