The stepsister got what she deserved. Because she was tripping so much on her superiority complex up on her high horse that she played herself because she wanted to embarrass OP. But she instead embarrassed herself with how she acted when she found out that the “love of her life” was engaged to OP even after she said that he was invited because she thought that OP was lying and wanted to embarrass her. And quite frankly for OP’s fiancé this was exactly what he needed because he was finally able to lay it all out there once and for all that it didn’t matter how much the stepsister loved him he never wanted her. Especially after what she did to end the two relationships he was in when he was in college because she wanted him all to herself but he was not interested in her. So the stepsister’s fiancé calling off the wedding, ending the relationship and making a run for it was something she had coming. Because she only wanted to be with him because of his wealth and because she wanted to make OP jealous by insinuating that no matter what man OP was in a relationship with they would only wind up being with the stepsister in the end. So after causing a long time of misery for OP what the stepsister got in the end she deserved to have her life wrecked for once.
