Guys I think it’s a human instinct to become defensive when faced with criticism. I’m sure there were some people that were genuinely rude in comments about politics or autism. But as an autistic person who one of my special interests is politics I can see both sides. For one yes you should be able to have fun talking about what you like or are interested in. I don’t think either of you have claimed to be an authority in any of these subjects. I will say though for politics it really can be go along to get along. Just think to abolishing slavery or the womens suffrage movement. There’s a right and wrong side of history in both of those events. Nothing has changed, but we have a party who straight up denies climate change and has one that acknowledges it, but is too bought out by the donor class to do anything about it. The key to a good debate is to set a guideline of facts and debate solutions routed in fact. We’ve got one party that’s fully regressive in their policies and actually hurt people through said policy agenda. Denies basic reality and fuels derision through hate and fear. In 50-100 years think about how we will look at many of these decisions and see who’s looked at as the villain. With autism it’s incredibly hard to live with and personally I suffered with suicidal ideation my entire life. It feels really isolating and lonely being autistic. I’d be happy to talk to either of you more about any of these topics if you’re actually curious and want to learn about it more deeply.

Dude... I know a Guru who when he was in body (c. 1900-1973) would feed the poor people in rural India out of his ashram and somehow even though none of the local villager's ever had much money to give to the ashram there was always an endless supply of food... When asked about how to become enlightened he would reply "feed the poor"... if someone asked "but who is 'the poor'?", he would reply "all are poor before Christ."
