True in terms of populism and conformity of systems(neo-lib owned dnc/neo-con owned GOP) but the overarching question is trump actually achieving his sated goals? His main economic focus has been a failure, coal mining is half of what it was under obama and the largest coal mining company filed bankruptcy and farmers have lost hundreds of billions, its not that trump caused that but he couldn't fix it because those are legacy economies which are in direct competition with the entire developing world where most of the economy is in blue areas like tech in california. So other than taking credit for the economy he had no part in creating what has he really achieved? Just populist division on issues of immigration, race etc. Nothing thats going offset the displacement of jobs caused by automation which Yang has somewhat addressed. The electoral college allows everyone to have a voice and not just densely populated areas. You’ll end up like here in Canada where our elections are pretty much decided by Ontario and Quebec. Leaving many provinces feeling like they have no voice or real say. A country should let all its people have an equal say from all regions. In fact Trudeau was going to have our version or voter reform to be a tad similar to the electoral college, until he realized he wouldn’t win again. Although if I’m wrong on that specific point I apologize, it’s how I currently understand it. Maybe if people focused on all part of a country, realize that each province or State has its own issues that need to be handled specific to them. Aww geez then maybe you’d win the electoral college votes AND the popular vote. 🤷🏼♂️
