As much as I envy you Steve, I'm old enough to have seen your fishing " career" from the early 80s and the very first days of the carp society at Dunstable, and the first issues of BC and Carpworld, to know that you are in the place you are now through decades of hard work and sacrifice. I'm very jealous lol, but you deserve the life you have. I absolutely love watching your films and travels, as I can't fish as much as I'd like, but your films are my " fix" that help me get through the days! Keep on carping on mate, best fishes, Rich👍

Hi Richard and thanks very much for your honest and very nice message - what people see me doing isn't the whole picture and of course it hasn't come easy but life is what you make of it - and we only get one crack at it ...

an absolute incredible achievement, anyone who says the standard "well he gets to fish all the time" doesn't realise how much you have created this possibility of fishing all over yourself!! Hard work in the early years seems to have really paid off now! congratulations! the 11th country won't be long I'm sure!!

Awesome angler, one of the best without doubt! Highlight of this vid for me though was 17:04 when he's so gutted to have another run, lol! Poor you Steve ; )

i was there that day, on šumbar. locals did all the job, he just sit there. they destroyed lakes all over croatia. and russians with unlimited amount of cash..they are putting the led in the fish mouth just to be heavier. this is not fishing anymore he came pay them to make fish food, to feed the carp to throw rods...so dont believe this commercial anglers on youtube. most of them have no idea what they are doing. and come on is it really hard to catch a 5kg carp in england..

What an amazing venue. Just curious as to what other species are present in this lake? I often wonder what other gems are on offer in these stunning locations. Excellent video Steve as always.
@stevebriggs46387 жыл бұрын
Other than carp species not too much I don't think. I did see many roach shoals but virtually all small but that was about it - although I totally agree that these sorts of lakes often hold some real specimens of other species!!!

top angling Steve n some cracking fish do you use the nash leaders or the tungsten tube on ya rods 👍🎣🎣🎣😁
@stevebriggs46387 жыл бұрын
I mostly use the tungsten tubing probably 90% of the time but I am using the diffusion leaders at the moment on Cassien as it's clear water and I'm using a poly ball to keep the line up.....

Fishing carp is too easy in lakes,it's just like with other fishes.But the real challange is to catch carp in the river! You need to feed him at least 5 days in the same time and place with corn or something else,but, nice video!
