What a guy Davis is... A national treasure,oddly enough when I was a kid and he was in his prime I always wanted him to lose.He was that good he made you feel sorry for his opponent. He had the measure of everyone of his generation, although some of the players back then wouldn't get in the top 100 in todays game.

this headcam stuff must become norm in order to help amateurs gain insight on the different aspects of the game ( cueing properly, timing, follow through, pace, cue ball control , angles (especially 1/4 1/2 and 3/4) i learned really faster by watching headcam centuries like provided by "john foster snooker" for example. enjoy :)

It should be obligatory for all players to use a headcam in pro tournaments. There is a learning curve when using a headcam; in the beginning the skill is reduced because of the heavier weight on your head, but after a few months you have developed the muscles in your neck and can play equally good with and without the headcam. If you stop using the headcam for a few months you need some time to adjust back to it.

@IFranchisedI7 жыл бұрын
the last black, he's cuing to hit the black almost full ball, then the cueball seems to deviate to the right before contact on the red. Is that a fault of steve's cuing or the camera alignment?
@IFranchisedI7 жыл бұрын
Derek Tan actually man you can clearly see he's not using right on both his feathering and delivery. After watching a couple times I think it's just the camera angle. Because this is at least a 3/4 ball shot and he's not cueing for that I think the headcam is slightly left of Steves vision center causing slight distortion on how this shot would actually look as you would personally see it.

How can you tell if a table is playing fast or slow?
@roromcgorro23156 жыл бұрын
By the distance the cue ball rolls, bud. Or more specifically, how quickly the balls come to a stop. This table in particular seems verrrrry slow, but I think it's just a college snooker hall, so the upkeep mightn't be A1... Snooker tables are very moody. If the table is too cold it attracts moisture and slows down, or if the felt is too thick (usually cheaper felt brands) or it's not stretched enough, or the balls aren't clean, or you didn't finish your dinner (sorry I've been minding kids all day.

possys2 you can't have done much playing if you think that, to answer the question, you want triangle chalk, green is the best colour, 95% of pro's use it, you see some using master chalk as well, also green, hope this helps.

@BA You don't win 28 ranking titles including 6 World Championships by always getting the run of the balls. Casual fans used to say that because they didn't understand the game, and that Davis was a master of leaving nothing on for his opponent if he missed the pot.
