Steve Earle has more soul in his vocal chords than most folks have in their whole body.

Sin City was also written by Chris Hillman, who sometimes gets left out. He and Gram Parsons wrote a number of Flying Burrito songs together. They met when Parsons joined the Byrds, of which Hillman was a founding member.

Hillman was there that night. It is a 1999 tribute to Parsons based on the Return of the Grievous Angel CD, hosted by Emmylou (who is at least as important as Chris.) Hillman and Steve do High Fashion Queen and he does Wheels with Jim Lauderdale. I have a bootleg, and Leadon is listed as part of the band, along with Greg Leisz, Paul Wix, Ethan Johns and, of course, Buddy Miller.
