Right on, great performance of a great tune that brings back a lot of memories of those dark times of the Vietnam war. I sure do remember it well. Vancouver and Canada was indeed the destination for many young Americans who refused to fight and die in an unjust war. They were welcomed and treated with respect and dignity, and many remained to become full Canadian citizens with families and lives of their own.

In 1996 while visiting Ottawa for my grad public policy program we met several students who were kids of some of those brave people who refused to kill/die for an unjust war. We had a really interesting conversation. Btw, Jimmy Durante wants his moniker back. 🤣🤣

Why Gram is not in the country music Hall of fame iis beyond me . In my truest opinion he was truly a pioneer of country music.

Not seen earle in LIVERPOOL UK since 2014. When he asked us to keep coming to his shows before vanishing. Sadly , This coincides with a huge drop in the quality of his recent covers albums. Nothing lasts forever , still i love earle. God bless. Enough of a back catelogue to keep me goin for life . Thanks

Still remember that day, Steve Earle one greatest artist and talented singer and songwriter and much more. He has gift. God bless him. Truly one greatest hit song. Always enjoy listening to his music though years. Kind grow on you though years, I meet friends know him and his music. Fans truly love him and Jim Lauderdale. Back up vocals. He great artist and talented singer and songwriter and songs George Strait for movie Pure Country. Both greatest artist today. Hope pray get Music City Walk of Fame or Hall of Fame. 100%.

For anyone so inclined to wonder, that's a 50's US Strad mandolin that has seen much better days. I have no idea what the solo was.

no. I think it might be Tim O'brien, but definitely not Costello. The band is not credited on the DVD, but if it was Costello he would have been credited and have done a song.

Is it just my perception, or did the mandolin player have a seizure during his solo???LOL
