Steve Harvey CRIES Crying Steve Harvey Breaks Down During Surprise Reunion Steve Harvey CRIES Crying over the Couple That Took him In BEFORE He was Famous
Steve Harvey gets surprised by the Cleveland, OH couple that helped him when he was just starting his career. According to Steve the couple gave him his first contract for his carpet cleaning business and then let him travel to do stand-up comedy shows using their travel agency account and he used over $11,000. Steve says he has been looking for the couple for years but could not find them.
Daytime talk shows often stage emotional reunions, but what happens when the host is the one surprised?
During a taping last week, Steve Harvey took an unexpected satellite call from someone wishing him a happy 56th birthday. As the man came on screen, Harvey immediately choked up.
Returning shows: Where we left off
"This is Rich Liss from Orlando, Florida," the man said. "Do you still love me, baby?"
After a brief silence, Harvey finally said, "Hey man, I love you."
Get the latest pilot news here
Harvey soon explained, "I was 26 years old, struggling, I didn't have nothing and these people owned a furniture store in Cleveland and these people took me in and gave me my first contract with my little carpet cleaning company. When I was 27, I became a comedian and they gave me an account at their travel agency...I've been looking for you for years! Thank you. You bailed me and I never forgot it."

Omg people on here is so cruel, Those were real emotions and anyone with a heart and soul can see that. If you don't like him why are ya'll watching this anyway? Just move on. Another thing stop with the oh he's racist, all comedians talk about all races now if u get offended by it then don't watch the show as simple as that. As for those stating he did not look for them and that he left them in debt and moved on, how are you so sure? Did they tell u he left them high and dry and how do u know he's not going to repay them now with even more than 11 stacks. Ijs some people don't want to be found so maybe they reached out to his people because they were ready to be found. Those were real tears! So everyone who is coming on a beautiful post stating negativity on here has no heart. Maybe some of you have to go through it in order to understand. Learn humility people!!!!!!! I really love moments like this! It's those loving acts like this couple helping Steve out in bad times that really can make ALL the difference to help someone stand up and have hope again. Of course it takes effort on the other persons side but if you work at it to build a strong foundation in your life you have the ability to do more for people the stronger your foundation is. Doing things for people and benefiting others with the skills and things you have no matter how small is what life is all about. It's how we love...loving the people around you makes you feel so much better than anything else out there. And it's much more lasting than things like sex, substances, eating, entertainment of any kind. Even though those things can bring you some temporary happiness/relief it's NOTHING like doing all you can to be the strongest you can be and along the way helping others with what you can. It's just awesome...and it produces moments like this which is the true reward!

If something can't be done, it can't be done no matter how much money you have. And besides his reaction seemed genuine enough so I don't think he intentionally failed to find them even if there was some way he could have. Either that or he's a really damn good actor.

I've lost track of friends too when you all grow up and get busy with your own lives you will experience it. The emotions look to be real and I'm sure the assistance they gave him then was what they could afford and they probably saw his talent and were glad to see him succeed. Its wonderful they have hooked back up and can catch up don't be second guessers its mean and petty.

Colin Wilson did any of the people you lost track of over the years happen to have hooked you up with 11thousand dollars (20 years ago none the less) and a foot up in your toughest time in life only to help you up and literally launch your pipe dreams that turned into a multimillion dollar empire only to forget to even look back and say a simple thank you ?! .... did that happen to you ?! no? didn't think so ....11GRAND is by no means PETTY.....

What his stepson said on fathers day, about how besides making his mom happy and always treating her with respect and kindness, Steve unknowingly won his heart over too!!! Lol. He went on to tell the audience about how Steve has been the best father any son could have ever hoped for. And I was like wow!!! I don’t think there’s many stepsons who has outpoured so much love their stepfather since we’ve starred recording history. Xx
