My Japanese grandfather got me into Crass back in highschool. I love this band

The change just before the three-minute mark signals a piece of this 'punk suite' which sounds very much like 1970s folk-rock band Steeleye Span. Crass attracted much criticism for their 'lentil-growing, commune-dwelling hippy anarchists' stance but some of their music was a fresh and welcome departure from sub-Ramones orthodoxy. Case in point is this suite, which utilises elements of 1970s 'progressive rock', namely the segmented 'episodic' construction, progressing through differing tempos and musical constructs. Another welcome thing (though not by all) was Eve Libertine's unapologetic middle-class tones; a bold move when to many 'punk' was supposed to be a 'working class phenomenon' (which it in part was; but there was so much more to it. Punk literally contains multitudes) and many a 'punk' vocalist strove to sound cod-Cockney, regardless of their background.

seen crass a thousand times have grown up with them, this isnt crass, its a pale easily consumed version, all too polished and perfect, crass were,nt just a band to most people they were a inspiration to get off your arse and do something to change things for the better, this makes me sad hearing this, there are some things best left alone and this is one of those things, sounds like a fuckin karaoke track played by session musicians to sing along to in their local pub,if you want to hear crass, buy their records and make sure they dont come from hmv or any shite outlet,c,mon you lot otherwise all this was for nothing and you missed the point,,,,ATB Andy.

I get where your coming from. But I feel today's generation need a taste of this. I think its important. This band, these songs, changed my life 25 years ago. I actually am not bothered by seeing all of this.
