I felt exactly the same way I loved it I couldn’t get enough I had it with me at work and in the car. The strange thing was I was listening to luke and it was the part where he learned jeff had died Aug 5 1992, which is a week before my birthday sadly and it just happened to be Aug 5 2022… I felt the darkness and twisted almost like I was there that day with him… I’m a drummer and huge jeff Porcaro fan and loved everything he did. Best guitarist ever. If you had an unlimited budget to make the greatest album ever, and it will have multiple genres, but other than that you don't know anything else about it... You pick Steve on guitar. He is a genius and does it in seconds. Rhythm or lead. Every genre. He got a Grammy for writing a RnB song, got done for Rock songs, played on hits of every genre.

Kenny, great show. One of the best, if not the best Luke interview on YT!!! Some very unique stories to say the least. But, you had my guy on two weeks ago. Big Doobie Bros, and the rest, fan from 1973, I'm 64, and then in junior college I heard TOTO when it came out. WTF, who is this. Remember, Van Halen was tracking too!!! Well, 40+ years in and all over TOTO, I started my guitar collection in 2005, 75 to date. I acquired Steve's Stage 2 Music Man and he had signed it in 2006. Fast forward, I acquired during Gavin Menzies auction. It was named #2 Pu$$* on the headstock back. As he did many of his guitars. On February 27, 2023 in Charleston, SC, I took the guitar and "The GOZ" helped me get the entire band's signatures on that Serial #G03672 "Artist Division" Luke Blue/HSS Mint Axe.. Steve, a very smart guy, was keen enough to sign it below the 2006 sig and that ever familiar "S***&&^^%%$$" scribble and '23. I can't show it here and when he did a YT for Ernie Ball I held that exact guitar up with the video, well I almost sharted myself. What a memory and one I will always have, while I'm here, for life.

Any due royalties that’s coming to him or that he fights for is WELL DESERVED in my eyes. He’s humble about it too. Like Joe Perry once said: “those songs are your babies…and people come in to cut and maim and ultimately take them away from you….and it hurts.” I heard that in some interview years back and never forgotten that statement. I’m sure Luk can relate to it. Thanks Kenny for netting Luk and dragging him in for the hang. It’s always interesting with Luk in the room.

A very seasoned guy who’s been through just about all you can think of, and came out the other side to tell the story - and some to be forgotten about. That’s all of us though...we all have secrets! Stellar interview Kenny,thanks man ! My fav guitar player & fav drummer all in one interview . Read his book & loved it . Yours is next ! If anyone has never seen him play Little Wing at the Les Paul tribute concert when he’s playing his 59’ burst I highly recommend they watch it and turn it up loud, it’s truly amazing. Rock on 🤘!
