Always a class act. We first saw him perform in 1967 at the Pasadena Ice House. He was a nice man and still is. He used to open for the "legendary" Tim Morgon, who was once a very popular folksinger at the Prison of Socrates coffee house in Balboa, California and who performed for years at the Glendale Ice House as well as the Pasadena Ice House, no longer a music cabaret. Steve has remained the charming person he was in 1967 and is today.

The lure of great art is the mystery that isn't tangible. When the creative spirit is at its highest, the artist somehow is able to express something, either in action or inaction toward the creation. The magic can be in the line or the space between them.

It's amazing how decent he seems on camera. True acting genius.

Add another novel to my reading list now. Always admired his work, no matter what it was. Sure his comedy has always mattered, but then his scripts have always baked my mind about his perceptions and his verve for the written word. The only thing that would transport me higher would be to have him hang one of my paintings in his home.

Now his love of art continues with Lawren Harris, one of the GREATEST Canadian painters practically no American has ever heard of. I can’t believe I’m the first comment that is actually relevant to the subject matter of this video.

He's a great & talented guy - banjo is amazing. It's a shame though that what Steve says is Hopper's best painting isn't on view to the public - maybe he'll donate it to a museum/gallery when he dies?!

He's mistaken. Many visual artists work without a care for the audience, it's all about the pursuit.
@punkisinthedetails14704 жыл бұрын
the audience is somewhat incidental but as it grows the response an artist will receive on a new piece is difficult to ignore especially if they are known for previous work that is consistent in style or process. They may not necessarily be playing to an audience more that their work finds an audience unless it is commissioned for a public space or to communicate or advertise a product or service.

Compmaturism sometimes explores that part of beauty which is covered in routine, craftsmanship, and speculation. Therefore, the eyes of many collectors are turned to the Compmaturism of the new trend in order to experience something truly.
