@dougpeters1625 the 2 parts of this song where they the "5 claps" I always do that whenever I hear this song. Once, when I was driving, I heard this song, and I took my hands off the steering wheel of my car to do the 5 claps and I actually drove into a ditch.

Longtime bandmate Norton Buffalo "playing Maraca Shakers" died 4 months after this show. Found out he had cancer in Sept. 2009 and died 6 weeks later. RIP Norton Buffalo.

During his upbringing, Steve Miller undertook a university course in Copenhagen, Denmark. I was working there for some years in the 1980s. He came back there Summer1985 and gave us a free concert in the Tivoli Garden.

Worked at March AFB many years ago with a guy named Steve Miller. Even somewhat resembled him. Always thought this song should have been a bit longer for say another verse or 2. The basic melody of the song would carried it no matter how many verses. Sad hearing we lost Norton Buffalo....Rest In Peace. Still, this is a fantastic version! Love that keyboard solo !
