The Republicans are flat out lying and saying that companies are now moving away from hiring college graduates. Now, there are more companies that no longer require degrees for positions that used to require one. But, the slight change is being driven by those companies not wanting to pay their labor force, not by some realization that a college education is somehow bad. The Republicans have been waging war on the US education system for decades, but it has intensified over the last few years. They have been denying the value of a college education. Yet, the reality is, a college graduate will make substantially more money over their lifetime than someone with only a high school education. They want parents, not teachers and professional educators, to make decisions about curriculum. They want to eliminate the Dept. of Ed. That would essentially deregulate public education in this country. What's the end goal, you ask? It's oh so simple. They want to create a system in which only the wealthy have access to a top tier education. We already have a massive education gap between the haves and have-nots. But, that isn't enough for them. They want to eliminate class mobility. They want a known and fixed underclass who can never climb up and out of poverty so they can steal what's left of the wealth that we have.

I am from a farming area, and I totally agree with this person! Every spring, we get a lot of illegal immigrants in the fields to plant and Harvest at the end of the summer. There isn't any average American that would go out in those fields in the hot summers that we have and process the fields, so when you take them away, our fields will not be planted and processed. We should be very thankful that they are willing to come from Mexico to work and then go back to Mexico to the families for the winter. I am very thankful for the immigrants.

These are not illegal immigrants, at least they shouldn't be, they are mostly migrant workers on a work visa. Thus why they go home for the winter and come back in the spring because they can cross the border legally to work in our fields. They harvest the crops and send a significant amount of their earnings back home to family that wouldn't overwise have that income. A win win for both sides.
