I don’t know why but I always liked that he still surrendered himself for disciplinary action. It doesn’t matter how many people he saved, he still went against orders and he’s ready to face the consequences. I find it interesting that Steve is so good natured and loyal almost to a fault that he was willing to receive any disciplinary action against him because he still went against his orders. It’s just one of the most consistent things in the mcu and it’s cool how he’s tested over and over again yet remains a genuinely good guy, who’s even worthy to wield mjolnir.
@GuukanKitsune2 жыл бұрын
He recognizes he broke the rules and is willing to take responsibility for it, but also recognizes that the rules needed to be broken at the time because what was allowed and what was right were not the same, and he did what was right.

@@GuukanKitsune yeah I guess that’s the difference he’s not COMPLETELY ethical. If breaking the rules serves the greater good than that’s what he’s going to do. But for the most part a very ethical guy who also does the right thing.

@@sergiomendoza4850 No he’s completely ethical he accepted responsibility for breaking the rules even when it couldn’t be clearer he did the right thing. Erskine made the right choice undoubtably
@marianoyuba37366 ай бұрын
@@sergiomendoza4850 I think the distinction would be more like, he's actually extremely ethical and respects the rules, enough so that he is willing to face the music if he's broken one. However, his ethics also mean that he WILL occasionally break one if he needs to because he'll never let rules stop him from doing what he knows is right, and he'll never follow orders blindly if he thinks they don't stand for what he believes in. Each of the Captain America films shows him breaking the rules for a right cause, be it ignoring orders and rescuing a unit that was officially abandoned, going against his country and government because he knows it's been compromised, or standing up for superhuman rights because he knows they've earned it and his friend is being framed to enforce the law. Even in The Avengers, where he's uncertain of absolutely everything, he's not afraid to dig into his own unit's dirty laundry because he knows something's off (as off as HYDRA weapons being stored by SHIELD).
@greyman63536 ай бұрын
This is the reason why all the Avengers even those with earth shattering powers respect Captain America as the leader of the team, because in any measure of worthiness, Steve Rogers will not be found wanting.

Which of us honestly would not take the chance to be with the person we loved most in the world, who had passed. Steve only wanted what every other hero who lost somebody wanted. Peggy was just, not snapped into oblivion. Heroes who are inhuman , are missing something. In the end it is what you do despite fear, imperfections and flaws that makes you a hero. Overcoming those things is heroic. Indeed Tony also illustrates this with his actions in the same movie.

I feel like you somehow forgot the context of either scenes? Steve got back with everyone cheering and supporting him, he got his best friend back and he saved a bunch of people, the army was never going to "discipline" him and he KNEW it. Walker literally just saw his best friend die in front of his eyes by the hands of the people who tried to kill him and he's now being called a monster for killing one of the people who is responsible for his best friend's death and his own attempted murder and the government is literally stripping him of his rank and pay and his VA health benefits, things that he EARNED by bleeding for his country and earning THREE medals of honor. Those are entirely different circumstances that call for very different reactions.

@sillyking19913 жыл бұрын
they probably didn't march like that all the way from the hydra base...rather, they knew they'd be returning that day, so they instead chose to make as much 'noise' as possible to *ensure* that they were spotted and by extension identified well before the camp. notice how noones going for a gun, or panicing. everyone thats rushing to the road already knows its allies, they likely even knew it was cap. they were just like 'wtf'. as far as surveilance, they were obviously focusing it on the hydra camp...they even said as much. remember this is ww2, not modern. spy satellites weren't a thing yet, shield wasn't even a thing yet. and if this was enemy territory they could very well have a squadron of surveillance jets everywhere. they'd get attacked.
@davidsloat10163 жыл бұрын
Umm, why do you think people were reacting to this when they're still not in sight when the camera gets to the gate?? Obviously they were spotted and recognized as not being a threat. Otherwise, instead of casually walking to the gate, Walker and Carter would've had their weapons out.
