I've tried a few different Pulled Pork recipes, but since I started using this recipe, I won't go anyway else. Its fail-safe, and turns out fantastic every time

Weather plays a vital role in every cook. It's good to be aware of the conditions. You will find the time to cook, best cooking temp and results vary based on the weather ☀️

Thank you for making these vids!! You were one of the main influences on my purchase of a Daniel Boone Prime today... One thing I've noticed in your vids that seems different is the sound of your fan. It always seems to be surging... kinda sounds like a steam train in slow motion. Is that an effect of the video or does it really surge like that. Is that normal? Thank you again - I'll be following many of your recipes!
@DGrill5 жыл бұрын
It is normal. As they say in the manual, it sounds like something is broken and that's by design. It doesn't do that every moment of a cook. But usually filming moments involve opening the door. And that temp imbalance causes pellets to be moved for heat. 👍🏿

Looks good. I just bought a DB over the weekend and looking forward to breaking it in. You mentioned you got the liners for easier cleanup. Can you get more than one use out of those?
@DGrill6 жыл бұрын
Congratulations🎉 Far as reusing the liners. I feel it depends. I mean, if you do some pork butts for most of a day slow and low. You don't want to cook again with all that left over dripping on the liner. It could cause a flair up. But after smaller cooks, you may be able to get away with another use. Just my opinion. I am sure the official advise is to never reuse...

Overall which is better the pellet grill or the gas? I'm trying to decide personally between pit boss or napoleon grill
@DGrill6 жыл бұрын
The two are very different grills. So it totally depends on whether you plan on doing many slow & low cooks or burgers & steaks. But the WiFi control puts the Green Mountain Grills Pellet Smoker over the top for me. If I had to choose.

Great Job! BTW: I like to inject too. I'd like to try caramelizing the sugars at high temps. and inject too. It sounds like the best of both worlds. Thanks a $1M!

www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/sportsmans/mobile/Drip-EZ-3-Pack-Drip-Pan-Inserts/productDetail/Smoker-and-Pellet-Grill-Accessories/prod99999049723/cat130908 Almost never in stock. I've resorted to buying regular Oven Liners from Walmart and putting some foil on the lower end that the Oven Liners don't cover.

Use a pizza peel to remove the meat from the barbecue it’s easier
@skoppi21466 жыл бұрын
What is that awful sound coming from the grill?? Do all pellet grills make this noise or is this just on the Green Mountain Grills?
@DGrill6 жыл бұрын
It's the nature of pellet grills. If you want the fuel fed automatically, instead of doing it by your own hand. The mechanical parts have to move and work. So the noice is a byproduct of the convenience. Given the grill is doing all the work, it's not like I stand outside listening to it all day 😂. Literally, the only times I touched it were the few times you see in the video. Otherwise I was in the house and never a thing 👍🏿.
@TroutFink6 жыл бұрын
I’ll take the minor noise to have excellent meat. It’s not a jet engine it’s a fan and an auger. The camera mic makes it sound louder. Listen to the birds @4:06 Those birds aren’t sitting on his shoulder
@joegrycowski2114 жыл бұрын
It is not bad at all actually. I think his speaker just picks it up super clear. I sit next to mine while it is running. You hear it to be sure, but it is not bothersome at all IMO.
