Appreciate your video. One question: What is the significance of covering the holes when you cover the drip pan with foil? When I've covered mine before, I punched out where the holes are.
@DGrillКүн бұрын
It helps prevent too much heat. Regardless of the automated temperature control. You want to reduce exposure to the flame more.

Do you think that with a pair of extra forks you could do two chickens side-by-side? Weber sells the forks as a replacement item. So it’s not visible on their website. You have to call customer service to order them as a replacement. Also, do you think that the motor can handle rotating two birds?

Have you tried putting in a couple of nuts and bolts on either notch to raise up the rotisserie bar. It should still work. Very disappointing that Weber designed it provides such a shallow zone for the rotisserie.

O my god, to bbq a chicken is not rocket science. To get the skin crispy you must rub it under the skin with a salty rub to dehydrate the skin. Then fix the chickens tight together on the roti, so that they can‘t move and fix the wings as well tight and close. Don’t use the middle burner, pre heat the Grill to 180-200 degree Celsius. Insert the spear and let it go for 70min, then check temperature, should be 82-84 degree. Please, don‘t waste food with such videos, shame.

Great video... I'm trying this method for the upcoming weekend. I'm doing roughly a 7 lb brisket and planning about 1 HR per pound. But, every video I've watched so far shows grill temps at 225-250 degrees F on the gas grill not 325F. Has anyone tried the 325 method? Will this dry the meat out? I can't imagine with how long his cook took that it would. Anyone have any tips? I'm nervous if I do the 250 method I'm going to be grilling for 20 hrs lol
@DGrill5 ай бұрын
If 325° F. gave the same results. Nobody would do 225-250° F. Going that many hours was not for show, it was for results. That cannot be matched at higher temperatures. You will have something edible so long as the meat is fully cooked. But, if you want the best results, that will cost you, in time and technique...

I see its been awhile since you posted this video. Other then the general cleaning, have you had to do any maintenance on the grill as far as having to clean or lubricant the auger or motor? I just picked up a GMG at a garage sale and used it about a half a dozen times. Really enjoy your videos, thanks.
